Abstract

Surgical thread for plastic surgery comprising a smooth portion and several sharp projections on each side of the smooth portion, wherein the smooth portion has no projections and the projections on each side of the smooth portion are inclined toward the smooth portion. 2. The surgical thread claimed in claim 1, wherein the smooth portion is sufficiently centered along the length of the thread. 3. The surgical thread claimed in claim 1, wherein the sharp projections are arranged in a spiral pattern around the thread. 4. The surgical thread claimed in claim 1, wherein the thread has a terminal zone at the ends of the thread with no sharp projections. 5. The surgical thread claimed in claim 1, wherein the sharp projections are barbs cut into or bite into the thread. 6. The surgical thread claimed in claim 3, wherein the spiral 7.
