DC60 (20/09/42) This invention relates to a device for the management of human bodily waste (10), such as a urine or feces management device for infants, children, or adults, which is attached to the wearer. This device (10) has an improved gripping mechanism on the wearer's skin to facilitate easy application and removal of the device from the wearer, while ensuring that the device is kept in a desirable position, especially on wet skin, for the entire duration of wear, including situations or periods of wear during which the wearer can move freely, i.e., is not bedridden. This invention relates to a device for the management of human bodily waste (10), such as a urine or feces management device for infants, children, or adults, which is attached to the wearer. This device (10) has an improved gripping mechanism on the wearer's skin to facilitate easy application and removal of the device from the wearer. Easy to wear, while ensuring the device is kept in the desired position, especially on wet skin, for the entire wearing time, including situations or periods during which the wearer can move freely, i.e., not becoming ill and needing to be bedridden.

Claims (12)

1. Disposable human bodily waste handling device (10) consisting of a bag (11). The bag (11) contains an opening (21) and a flange (12) that encloses the opening (21). The flange (12) has a surface facing the wearer (23) and a surface facing the clothing (22). The surface facing the wearer (23) contains an adhesive (20) for adhesive bonding to the wearer's perianal area. This adhesive (20) is a pressure-sensitive, water-insoluble polymer that forms a three-dimensional matrix and contains less than 10% hydrocolloid by weight. 2. Disposable human body waste handling devices (10) conforming to claim 1, in which the adhesive contains less than 5% by weight of the hydrocolloid adhesive. 3. Disposable human body waste handling devices (10) that comply with claim 1, which will select the polymers from acrylic, sulfonated polymers, vinyl alcohol, vinyl pyrrolidine, polyethylene oxide and mixtures thereof. 4. Disposable human body waste handling devices (10) that comply with claim 1, in which the adhesive (20) is further composed of a plasticizer. 5. Disposable human body waste handling devices (10) that comply with claim 4, which will select plasticizers from polyhydric alcohol, polyethylene glycol, glycerol, sorbitol, water or mixtures of these substances. 6. Disposable human body waste handling devices (10) that comply with claim 1, in which the adhesive is hydrophilic or hydrophilic-polyhydrophobic. 7. Disposable human body waste handling devices (10) conforming to any one of claims 1 through 6, in which the wearer-facing surface (23) of the flange (12) shall contain such adhesive (20) in an amount of 20 g/m² to 2500 g/m². 8. Disposable human body waste handling devices (10) conforming to any one of claims 1 through 7, in which the wearer-facing surface (23) of such flange (12) shall contain at least one non-adhesive component (13). 9. Disposable human body waste handling device (10) conforming to any one of claims 1 through 8, which shall apply such adhesive to the wearer-facing surface (23) of the flange (12) by groove coating. 10. Disposable human body waste handling device (10) that conforms to any one of Claims 1 through 9, in which the bag (11) is predominantly truncated cone in shape. 11. Use of disposable human body waste handling devices (10) that comply with any one of the claims 1 to 10 in combination with disposable diapers (50). 12. Use of the stool handling device (10) in accordance with claim 11, in which such stool handling device (10) shall be first positioned between the buttocks of the wearer and then the diaper (50) shall be positioned over the said stool handling device (10) and shall be secured in a conventional manner around the wearer's torso.
