Abstract

Claims (4)

1. Disposable open-type diapers with an front waist area, a back waist area, and a crotch area between the front and back waist areas consist of a permeable top sheet, a non-permeable back sheet, an absorbent core located between the top and back sheets, and a pair of side edges extending transversely from the opposite side edges along the transverse direction of the absorbent core. Specifically, they have a first fold guide extending transversely across the diaper to divide its lengthwise into two sections; a second pair of fold guides extending parallel transversely across the diaper between the first fold guide and the outer ends of the aforementioned front and back waist areas; and a third pair of fold guides extending parallel lengthwise along the side edges of the absorbent core. The diaper is folded lengthwise along the first fold guide to the outer surface of the back sheet, then along the second pair of fold guides to the outer surface of the top sheet, and finally along the side edges. The sides will be folded along the pair of third folding guide lines to the outer surface of the back panel in one of the areas of the front and back waist. 2. The diaper under claim 1 is of the type where each size area defined in the longitudinal direction between the first fold guide line and the second pair of fold guide lines is less than each second size area defined in the longitudinal direction between the second pair of fold guide lines and the outer ends of the front and back waist area adjacent to the outer ends. 3. The diapers under claim 2 are of the type where a pair of size one is equal to a pair of size two. 4. Any diaper under any of the claims 1 through 4 is of the type in which the size determined in the transverse direction between the pair of third-fold guide lines is greater than the size determined in the transverse direction between the side edges of the absorbent core and the pair of sizes determined in the transverse direction between the third-fold guide lines and the outer edge of the side edge adjacent to the third-fold guide line are equal.
