DC60 (08/04/58) This invention relates to a method of transporting bunches of fresh fruit and, in particular, a faster and more efficient method in which the method consists of at least the following steps: a) parking a fruit-collecting device away from the orchard; driving a vehicle fitted with a flatbed to the orchard to manually collect the bunches of fresh fruit; b) driving the vehicle to the parked fruit-collecting device and mechanically transferring the collected bunches of fresh fruit to the first fruit-collecting lane of the device; c) transferring the first fruit-collecting lane, filled with a press, to the second fruit-collecting lane; d) repeating steps a-c until the second fruit-collecting lane is full; e) transferring the bunches of fresh fruit from the second fruit-collecting lane/section to a transport truck parked adjacent to the second fruit-collecting lane for transport of the fresh fruit to its destination. The aforementioned fruit-collecting device consists of at least one front section/fruit-collecting lane shaped like an “L” to receive the bunches of fresh fruit from the vehicle. This front section is rotatably attached to the second fruit-collecting lane, which, when the first section is lifted while rotating around a pivot point, transfers the bunches of fresh fruit. The fruit is slid into a second section. This second section can be lifted higher than the transport truck parked adjacent to it and then tilted to dump the harvested fruit into the transport truck. This second section is mounted on wheels for movement when the front of the second section is attached to a tractor that provides torque to activate the fruit harvesting device. Summary 8/4/2015. Claims (9)

Revised 8/4/2015 1. The fruit harvesting device consists of a front section/fruit harvesting carriage for receiving bunches of fresh fruit from the vehicle. This front section is rotatably attached to a second fruit harvesting carriage, where, when the first section is lifted while rotating around a pivot point, the fruit slides into the second section. The second section can be lifted higher than a parked transport truck adjacent to it and then tilted to unload the harvested fruit into the transport truck. The second section is fitted with a pair of wheels for movement. The front of the second section is connected to a tractor that provides torque to activate the fruit harvesting device. 2. The fruit harvesting device as described in Reputation 1, where the front section/fruit harvesting carriage is shaped like an “L”. 3. The fruit harvesting device as described in either Reputation 1 or 2, where the upper end along the vertical portion of the “L” is rotatable and fitted to a pair of vertical beams fixed to the second section. 4. The fruit harvesting device as described in Reputation 1, where the first section is lifted by a carriage via a hydraulic cylinder connected between the rear of the first cylinder and the lower part of the second section. 5. A fruit-harvesting device as specified in Reputation 1, where the second fruit-harvesting carriage is raised by a linkage mechanism where a pair of levers are rotatably connected at their center. 6. A fruit-harvesting device as specified in Reputation 4, where the raised second carriage is tilted to release the harvested fruit to be slid out, where such tilt causes the fruit to be loaded when a hydraulic cylinder is placed between the upper and lower frames of the container. 7. A fruit-harvesting device as specified in Reputation 1, where a control mechanism regulates the extension and retraction of the pistons of - the first hydraulic cylinder - the linkage hydraulic cylinder - the second hydraulic cylinder. 8. A fruit-harvesting device as specified in Reputation 2, where a pair of tethered legs are provided at the rear of the device to provide stability when the device is in operation. 1. The second section can be lifted higher than a transport truck parked adjacent to it and then tilted to dump the harvested fruit into the transport truck. Such second section is fitted with a pair of wheels for movement, when the front of the second section is connected to a tractor that provides force to activate the fruit harvesting device. 3. Fruit harvesting equipment as specified in Requisition 2, where the front/fruit harvesting pathway is shaped like an "L". 4. A fruit-harvesting device as specified in claims 2 and 3, where the upper end of the vertical section of the "L" is rotatably mounted to a pair of vertical beams fixed to the second section. 5. The fruit-harvesting device as specified in Requisition 2, in which the first section is lifted by means of a hydraulic cylinder connected between the rear of the first cylinder and the lower part of the second, adjacent section, to lift such first section. 6. A fruit-harvesting device as specified in Requisition 2, where a second fruit-harvesting carriage is raised by a linkage where a pair of beams are rotatably connected at a central point. 7. A fruit harvesting device as specified in claim 5, in which the second raised section is tilted to release the harvested fruit, sliding out, where such tilt causes the fruit to be loaded, when a hydraulic cylinder is positioned between the upper and lower frames of the container. 8. Fruit harvesting device as specified in Reservation 2, where the control trajectory of the piston's extension and retraction control valve - hydraulic cylinder part one - hydraulic cylinder linkage - hydraulic trajectory part two. 9. A fruit-harvesting device as specified in Claim 2, to which a pair of retractable legs are provided at the rear of the device to provide stability when the device is in operation (Claim 9, page 2, figure 3).
