DC 60 (16/09/42) The telecommunications system comprises an intelligent network (IN) to provide services in and outside the IN, and a service creation environment (SCEF) function, which configures the SCEF to provide service logic and service information models to support both IN and non-IN services. The service logic provided by the SCEF may be distributed between SCFs, SSFs, and CCFs, or it may be housed within an SCF with an SSF configured to pass input information of the communication method to the SCF and transmission information from the SCF to the CCF. The telecommunications system comprises an intelligent network (IN) to provide services in and outside the IN, and a service creation environment (SCEF) function, which configures the SCEF. To provide a service logic template and service information to support both IN and non-IN services, the service logic provided by the SCEF may be distributed between SCEF, SSF, and CCF, or it may be located within an SCEF with an SSF configured to pass input information of the communication protocol to the SCEF and transmission information from the SCEF to the CCF.

Claims (13)

1. The telecommunications system comprises an intelligent network (IN) to provide services within and outside the IN, and a service creation environment (SCEF) function designed to provide service logic for the IN to support services both within and outside the IN. 2. The telecommunications system of Claim 1 consists of the Service Control Function (SCF), the Service Switching Function (SSF), and the Call Control Function (CCF), whereby the logic of service in and not in the IN is distributed between the SCF, SSF, and CCF. 3. The telecommunications system of Claim 1 comprises the Service Control Function (SCF) and the Service Switching Function (SSF), with the SCEF being configured to provide service logic in IN and not in IN within the SCF, SSF, and CCF. 4. The telecommunication system of Claim 1 consists of a Service Control Function (SCF) and a Service Switching Point (SSP). The SSP consists of a Call Control Function (CCF) and a Service Switching Function (SSP), whereby the SCF is configured to provide service logic in the IN and not in the IN in the SCF, and by byby the SSP to pass incoming communications of the protocol received by the SSP, in whole or in part, to the SCF, and communications of transmissions occurring in the SCF, in whole or in part, to the CCF. 5. The telecommunications system of claim number 4, by providing an SCF (Service Switching Facility) to perform the functions previously achieved by the Service Switching Facility (SSF) and Call Control Facility (CCF) functions, in whole or in part. 6. The telecommunications system of any one of the above-mentioned claims, which still provides SCEF characteristics to provide a data structure for telecommunications services both in and outside of IN. 7. The telecommunications system of any one of Claims 2 through 6, while still providing SCEF characteristics in order to provide a data structure in the CCF. 8. The telecommunications system of Claim 1 also includes a call control (CCF) function, which is further structured as an SCEF to provide a data structure within the CCF. 9. The telecommunications system of Claim 1 also includes a call control (CCF) function designed to allow the inclusion of data structures in the CCF from the service management (SMF) function. 10. The telecommunications system of any one of the claims under Articles 7 through 9, whereby the data structure comprises the data structure for telecommunications services both in and outside of IN. 11. The telecommunications system of any one of Claims 7 through 10 also includes a Service Information (SDF) function, which is configured as a CCF for direct access to the SDF for Service Information. 12. The telecommunications system of Claim 4 shall be structured to accommodate the scope of information, operations and parameters for transfer between the SCF and CCF. 13. The telecommunications system comprises an intelligent network (IN) for providing services within and outside the IN, and a service creation environment (SCEF) function designed to provide the data structure for the IN to support services both within and outside the IN.
