DC60 (29/04/42) This invention relates to an independently wrapped absorbent product. The absorbent product has primary and secondary ends, primary and secondary sides, and primary and secondary surfaces. The secondary surface of the absorbent product has the garment adhesive attached to it. A peel-off strip is attached to the garment adhesive to prevent premature contamination of the garment adhesive before the absorbent product is attached to the underwear. The absorbent product is wrapped in a wrap sheet with primary and secondary ends, primary and secondary sides, and primary and secondary surfaces. The primary surface of the wrap sheet is positioned adjacent to the peel-off strip with the primary and secondary ends of the wrap sheet protruding beyond the primary and secondary ends, respectively, of the absorbent product. In addition, the primary and secondary sides of the wrap sheet protrude beyond the primary and secondary sides of the absorbent product, respectively. An attachment device is attached to the primary surface of the wrap sheet approximately at its primary end. The wrap sheet and the absorbent product are then folded together around two folding axes such that the primary surface of the wrap sheet contacts the attachment device and is bonded together. It can be detached to form a package. Such package has first and second edges that have been aligned approximately parallel to the first and second edges of the absorbent product. The first and second edges of the package are joined together by the first and second seals, respectively, and at least one perforation is formed in the package sheet, providing an easy opening feature for such package. Alternatively, the package can contain two perforations aligned adjacent to the first and second seals, which allow the package sheet to be torn open into three distinct sections. Such package has its first and second edges aligned approximately parallel to the first and second sides of the absorbent product. The first and second edges of the package are joined together by the first and second seals, respectively, and at least one perforation is formed in the wrap sheet, providing easy opening features for the package. Alternatively, the package can contain two perforations aligned adjacent to the first and second seals, allowing the wrap sheet to be torn open into three distinct sections.

Claims (20)

1. An independently packaged absorbent product consisting of: a) an absorbent product with primary and secondary ends, first and second sides, and primary and second primary surfaces. The aforementioned second primary surface of the absorbent product has the garment adhesive attached to it. b) a removable release strip attached to the garment adhesive to prevent premature contamination of the adhesive before the absorbent product is attached to the underwear. c) a package sheet with primary and secondary ends, first and second sides, and primary and second primary surfaces. The aforementioned primary surface of the package sheet is positioned adjacent to the release strip, with the first and second ends of the package sheet extending beyond the first and second ends, respectively, of the absorbent product, and the first and second sides of the package sheet extending beyond the first and second sides, respectively, of the absorbent product. d) an attachment device attached to the second primary surface of the package sheet approximately equal to its first end. The aforementioned wrap sheet and product are folded together around two folding axes in such a way that the primary surface of the wrap sheet contacts the fastening device and is released-to-it-to-it to form the package. The package has its first and second edges aligned approximately parallel to the first and second ends of the product, respectively; c) the first and second seals securing the first and second edges of the package, respectively; and f) the first perforated line formed in the wrap sheet, providing an easy-opening feature for the package. 2. The absorbent product is packaged independently of claim 1, whereby the aforementioned package is made of polypropylene. 3. An independent absorbent package of the provisions of claim 1, whereby the aforementioned package is polyethylene. 4. The absorbent product is individually packaged as per claim 1, whereby the aforementioned attachment is an adhesive. 5. The absorbent product is an independent package of the claim in item 1, whereby the first perforated line mentioned is linear and extends from the first end mentioned to the second end mentioned of the package. 6. An independent absorbent package of the claim under Clause 1, whereby the aforementioned package contains a second perforated line spaced apart from the first perforated line. 7. The absorbent product is an independent package of claim number 6, whereby the first perforated line mentioned is aligned directly with the first seal mentioned and the second perforated line mentioned is aligned directly with the second seal mentioned. 8. The absorbent product is packaged independently under claim 7, whereby the aforementioned perforated line and the second perforated line are aligned straight and parallel to each other. 9. The absorbent product is an independent package of claim number 6, whereby the first and second perforations mentioned are nonlinear. 10. Individually packaged absorbent product consisting of: a) an absorbent product with primary and secondary ends, first and second sides, and primary and secondary surfaces; the aforementioned primary surface of the said product is attached to the garment attachment; b) a removable release strip attached to the aforementioned garment attachment to prevent premature contamination of the said absorbent product is attached to the inner garment; c) a package sheet with primary and secondary ends, first and second sides, and primary and secondary surfaces; the first surface of the package sheet is positioned adjacent to the release strip, with the first and second ends of the package sheet extending beyond the first and second ends, respectively, of the said absorbent product, and the first and second sides of the package sheet extending beyond the first and second sides, respectively, of the said absorbent product; d) an attachment device attached to the second primary surface of the package sheet approximately equal to its first end; the package sheet and the said product are folded together around. Two folded axes are constructed in such a way that the first primary surface of the aforementioned wrap sheet contacts the aforementioned fastening device and is released-to-attach to it to form the wrap. The aforementioned wrap has its first and second edges aligned approximately parallel to the first and second ends of the aforementioned product, respectively. c) The first and second permanent seals are attached to the first and second edges of the aforementioned wrap, respectively. f) Perforated and second perforated lines, spaced apart, are formed in the aforementioned wrap sheet, providing easy opening features for the wrap. The first perforated line is aligned directly to the first permanent seal, and the second perforated line is aligned directly to the second permanent seal. 11. The absorbent product is an independent package of claim 10, whereby the aforementioned perforation consists of a series of slits, each less than approximately 0.001 inches in length. 12. The product of independent absorption of the claim under clause 10, where the second perforated line mentioned above is linear. 13. The absorbent product is an independent package of claim 10, where the aforementioned perforation and secondary perforations are nonlinear. 14. The absorbent product is packaged in independent wrappers as per claim 10, whereby each perforated and second perforated line mentioned above is spaced at least approximately 0.1 inches from the first and second permanently sealed lines mentioned above, respectively. 15. An independently packaged absorbent product consisting of: a) an absorbent product with first and second ends, and first and second primary surfaces, and the aforementioned second primary surface of the said product, with the garment attached to it; b) a removable release strip attached to the garment to prevent premature contamination of the adhesive of the said absorbent product; c) a package with first and second ends, and first and second primary surfaces, and the aforementioned first surface of the package is positioned against the release strip with the first and second ends of the package extending beyond the first and second ends, respectively, of the said absorbent product, and the first and second sides of the package extending beyond the first and second sides, respectively, of the said absorbent product; d) an attachment device attached to the second primary surface of the package approximately equal to its first end; the package and... The aforementioned product is folded together around two folding axes in such a way that the first primary surface of the aforementioned wrap sheet contacts the aforementioned fastening device and is released-tightly bonded to it to form the wrap. The aforementioned wrap has its first and second side edges aligned approximately parallel to the first and second ends of the aforementioned product, respectively. c) The first and second brittle seals are attached to the first and second side edges of the aforementioned wrap, respectively. f) The first and second spaced perforated lines are formed in the aforementioned wrap sheet, providing easy-opening features for the wrap. The first perforated line is aligned directly to the first brittle seal, and the second perforated line is aligned directly to the second brittle seal. 16. The absorbent product is individually packaged as described in item 15, where the aforementioned perforated pattern consists of a series of slits, each less than approximately 0.001 inches in length. 17. An independent packaged absorbent product of claim 15, whereby the first and second perforations mentioned are linear. 18. An independently packaged absorbent product of claim 15, where the first and second perforations mentioned are nonlinear. 19. The absorbent product is packaged independently of claim 15, whereby each of the aforementioned first and second perforated strands is spaced at least approximately 0.1 inches away from the aforementioned first and second brittle seals, respectively. 20. An independently packaged absorbent product of claim 15, whereby the first and second perforated lines mentioned above are spaced less than approximately 4 inches apart (Clause 20, drawing - illustration).
