Abstract

The young coconut opener operates on the principle of a linearly moving blade in a plane perpendicular to the fruit's base. The young coconut rotates around its stem axis during opening. The opener consists of a power base frame, a coconut clamping unit, and a coconut opening unit. Its operation involves clamping the lower part of the coconut by adjusting the height using a lever, and then inserting a sharp blade into the bottom of the coconut, causing it to press against the upper clamping unit. Movement is controlled by ball bearings and an upper plate. Power is transmitted via a small motor through a gear reduction system, causing the coconut clamping unit and the coconut to rotate. A screw feeds the blade to open the coconut, and it is fitted with a blade tilt adjuster. The blade moves in and out by rotating the blade feeding handle.

1. Young coconut opener consisting of a base frame assembly with a base (1) on top, fitted with four posts (2), two of which are connected to a sleeve (3), and between the bases of the two posts (2), a cam (4) is fitted with a lever (5), with the shaft (6) of the lever (5) positioned between the two posts (2) by a clamp (7) on top. Above the sleeve (3), a plate (8) is fitted, which is circular in shape. At the bottom of the plate (8), a motor assembly (9) is fitted together. The lower coconut clamp assembly is fitted above the base frame assembly and consists of a plate (11) and a plate (12), fitted with a spring (13) and a clamping pin (14) in the middle of the plate (11). The upper coconut clamp assembly. It is mounted above the lower coconut holding assembly and consists of three circular steel plates. The first plate (16) is mounted at the top end of the post (2). Next, a plate (17) is mounted between plates (16) and (18), with plate (17) having a ball bearing groove shared with plate (18). One end of the sheath (23) is designed to allow the tip of the knife (20) to pass through to open the coconut. The sheath (22) is fitted with a blade tilt adjuster (24). The other end of the sheath (22) is threaded (25) and fitted with an end cap (26) which connects the sheath (22) to the rotating handle (27). 2. Coconut opener according to claim 1 in which the blade (20) is sharp in the bevel cutting direction, making an angle of 40 degrees with respect to the length of the blade (20). 3. Coconut opener according to claim 1 or 2 in which the blade tilt adjuster (24) adjusts the angle of the blade (20) relative to the horizontal 40-60 degrees.
