A disposable diaper consists of a rectangular diaper body comprising a permeable top layer, a non-permeable bottom layer, and an absorbent layer. It also includes elastic leg straps and an elastic belt. These elastic belts are placed on the bottom side of the diaper (abdominal portion) and the top side (rear portion) of the diaper, so that opposite sides extend outwards from the opposite left and right edges of the diaper. The elastic leg straps, consisting of a first pair of elastic leg straps placed lengthwise across the diaper and a second pair of elastic leg straps placed inward of the first pair across the diaper, are positioned widthwise. The absorbent layer is placed between the top and bottom layers.
