The box as enshrined in claim 8; the device shall consist of a first pre-defined vulnerable area extending from the first point on the fold to the end spaced longitudinally from the fold; a second pre-defined vulnerable area extending from the second point on the fold to the end; and an opening strip partially bounded by the first and second areas and by a vulnerable area extending from the edge of the locking strip along the line of the extension together with the ends of the first and second areas. Thus, by grasping and pulling the pull tab outward, the first and second areas are separated from the locking strip, thereby separating the locking strip from the rest of the box in a pre-defined manner.

With the other body wall panel, by a third fold line parallel to the second fold line; the locking strip consists of a tail portion that terminates in the locking wall panel with a centered section, and a front portion that extends from the front edge of the centered section and connects to that edge by a fold line of the strip parallel to the third fold line; the locking strip is positioned relative to the fold protruding from one of the end wall panels in such a way that with the front wall panel folded onto the centered section to form the leading edge of the locking strip along the fold line of the strip, and the locking strip, having passed through the fold and inserted through the narrow channel of the box formed from the blank panels, the front wall panel returns to its position inside the box in such a way that part of the front wall panel is adjacent to the surface of the fold and the connecting end wall panel, thus one end wall panel of the box is locked to the body wall panel to which that end wall panel is not connected and cannot be released without cutting the strip. For the purpose of locking or creating visible evidence that the opening has been made; then, a flange protruding outwards from the side of the locking strip to interlock with the edge of the opening when the locking wall plate is inserted through the narrow channel, to prevent the locking strip from being pulled out of the opening after the end wall plate has been locked to the second body wall plate for box closure (Clause 10, 4 pages, 4 figures).
