The second part, as mentioned, where the first protruding edge can be positioned to lock together with the outer ridge, and the second protruding edge is formed as a single unit with the closing part and can be positioned to lock together with the inner ridge; that is, when the closing device is fitted onto the second part of the container, it can be removed from the first part so that the second part can be detached from the closing device and released from its locked position with the outer ridge.

And it can be positioned to interlock with the internal supports in a way that locks them together.

The form of the device for closing a container, which consists of (i) a container with a base and surrounding walls, a rim which is constructed to have an upper edge of such walls and around the opening of such container, an external ridge which is made in conjunction with the rim and around the rim, and a flange of the container which is made in conjunction with the walls of such container and extends from the walls of such container and around the walls of such container in the area below the rim; and (ii) a closing device which has a closing part which is modified to cover the opening of such container, a rim which is made in conjunction with the closing part and is shaped to surround the rim when the closing device is fitted onto the container, where the rim consists of a first part which can be positioned adjacent to and around the upper external end of the rim, and a second part which consists of a strip which is attached to the first part in a detachable manner and extends from the first part downwards to surround the rim below its upper end. The second section has a first protruding edge, which is positioned within the second section and constructed as a single unit with it. This first protruding edge can be positioned to lock into place with the outer ridge. When the closing device is fitted onto the container, the far end of the second section is positioned to face the edge of the container at a close distance.
