Abstract

The double-layered food container described in this invention has an outer container, inside which is a space for an inner container of the same size as the outer container. A gap is created between the inner and outer containers. This gap acts as insulation, preventing heat from the hot food in the inner container from transferring to the outer container. This is beneficial because consumers can comfortably touch the outer surface of the double-layered food container as the outer container does not receive heat transfer. Furthermore, a gap at the bottom of the outer container helps to dissipate heat from the hot food in the inner container through this gap to the bottom of the container.

Claims (4)

1. A double-layered food container consists of an inner food container (10) which is a cup-shaped paper container with a rim (11) protruding from the top surface. An outer food container (1) is securely locked to the inner food container (10) to form a double-layered food container. The characteristics of the outer food container (1) are that it is a sheet of paper consisting of long rectangular side sections (2) which are divided into four equal lengthwise sections by fold lines (3). The bottom edge of side section (2) is folded to the first base (5) and second base (6) by fold lines (7). The first base (5) is connected to the bottom edge of side section (2) which has side wings (4). The first base (5) is shaped like a square where the sides are in the same position. Opposite the gap (8) is the connecting section (9), which is cut inward and the second base (6) connects to the bottom of the next side section (2) inward, forming a trapezoid shape in which the first base (5) and the second base (6) alternate along the bottom edge of all four sides of section (2). 2. A double-layered food container, according to claim 1, at one width end of side section (2) shall be a side wing (4) which shall be attached to the other width end of side section (2) with an adhesive to form the side wall of the outer food container (1). 3. A double-layered food container under claim 1 or 2 in which the space between the inner food container (10) and the outer food container (1) is filled with an void (12), which acts as a thermal insulator preventing heat from the hot food contained in the inner food container (10) from transferring to the outer food container (1). 4. A double-layered food container under any one of claims 1 through 3 shall have a void (8) in the middle between the side sections (2) and the first base (5) and the second base (6) to allow heat from the hot food contained in the inner food container (10) to escape through this void (8).
