And in order to provide a combined and retractable lateral edge of such object, each section of the seam flap shall be integrated as a single piece with one of the sections of the leg seam to provide a seam flap component in which each section of the seam flap shall have a fixed elastic edge adjacent to one of the aforementioned retractable lateral edges and a movable portion further away that is combined and retractable. Each seam flap shall include an impermeable barrier layer, a non-woven material layer parallel to the barrier layer and facing the barrier layer, a number of separate longitudinal elastics sandwiched between the barrier layer and the material layer within each leg seam section, and a number of separate longitudinal elastics sandwiched between the barrier layer and the material layer within each flap section to provide a combined longitudinal retractable seam flap component. Each of these elastics in such a section of the seam flap shall be sandwiched between at least one of the barrier layers and the material layer of the seam flap, and where each section of the seam flap shall have a rigid portion not less than approximately 5 mg and not more than approximately 250 mg.

Each leg seam section extends and straddles the concave lateral edge of the backing layer, and to provide a combined and retractable lateral edge of the material, each section of the seam wing is integrated with one of the leg seams to provide a seam wing component, with each seam wing section having a fixed edge adjacent to one of the retractable lateral edges and a movable, retractable portion further away. Each seam wing includes a liquid-impermeable layer, a non-woven material layer flanking the seam layer and facing it, a number of separate longitudinal stretchers sandwiched between the seam layer and this material layer within each leg seam section, and a number of separate longitudinal stretchers sandwiched between the seam layer and this material layer within each seam wing section to provide a combined longitudinal retractable seam wing component. Each of these stretchers in a section of the seam wing is sandwiched between the seam layer. And at least one layer of such material in the flange has longitudinally extended strips of bonding compound. Each strip of bonding compound is separated from the adjacent strips of bonding compound at intervals, and each strip of bonding compound is positioned to enclose each shrink wrap in the flange section to at least one layer of the flange and material, where each section of the flange has a hard component of not less than approximately 5 mg and not more than approximately 250 mg.
