Abstract

DEPCT65 This electric lock (14) is for locking and unlocking the doors of delivery lockers. It is assembled with: a handle; a latch (20); a locking mechanism (40) which is driven to the locked or unlocked state by a locking motor (44); an open/closed sensor (60) which detects the open/closed state of the door (12); a locking sensor (58) which detects the locked state of the locking mechanism (40); a communication unit; a panel input unit; a numeric keypad; a control unit; an emergency escape lever (27); and a locking cylinder (30). For management use, the control unit sends the detection results externally from the open/closed sensor (60) and the locking sensor (58) via the communication terminal of the delivery person or recipient.

Claims (4)

DEPCT65 1. The electric lock that locks and unlocks the doors of delivery lockers comprises: a handle configured to be actuated to open the door; a latch configured to move relative to the handle's action in the unlocked state such that one end of the latch advances into or retracts from a hole made in the inner surface of the locker opening that is opened or closed by the door; a locking mechanism configured to be driven by a locking motor to the locked state where the opening action of the handle to open the door is prevented, or to the unlocked state where the opening action is allowed; an open/closed sensor configured to detect whether the door is open or closed; a locking sensor configured to detect whether the locking mechanism is locked; a communication unit configured to receive the unlock signal sent from the dispatcher's or recipient's communication terminal via near-field wireless communication; a numeric keypad configured to accept the unlock number input received by the recipient's communication terminal; and a controller configured to drive the locking motor to set the locking mechanism to the unlocked state. The lock is established when the unlock signal or unlock number received by the communication unit or keypad is verified; an emergency escape lever is positioned at the second end of the latch opposite the first end, in such a way that the emergency escape lever can move the latch to a position where the first end of the latch exits the hole even when the handle is in the locked state; and an administrative cylindrical lock is configured to move the latch with the administrator key inserted and rotated to a position where the first end of the latch exits the hole even when the handle is in the locked state, where the controller sends the sensing results received by the on/off sensor and the lock sensor via the dispatcher's or recipient's communication terminal to an external destination. 2. The electric locker for delivery under Claim 1, where the electric locker is additionally incorporated with a power supply including a battery, the communication unit communicates with the communication terminal via near-field wireless communication using the power supplied by the power source. 3. The electric lock of the shipping locker pursuant to claim 1 or 2, where the keyhole end surface of the management-operated cylinder lock is enclosed with a removable cover. 4. Shipping lockers equipped with electric locks as per any one of claims 1 through 3.
