Claims (2)

1. A separator for separating material suspended in a carrier gas into fine and coarse particles, which consists of a rotor (1) with a shaft (2), a housing (6) which encloses the rotor and has an inlet (7) for the suspended material/gas and outlets (8, 11) for the fine and coarse particles respectively, which has the characteristic that an adjustment path (13) relating to shaft (2) is used to adjust the axial position of shaft (2) and therefore of rotor (1) relative to the housing (6). 2. A separator according to claim 1 which is characterized that the shaft (2) is embedded at its upper end in a bearing housing (12), which the bearing housing (12) can be moved vertically with the help of an adjustment trajectory (13) (Clause 2, page 1, figure 1).
