ผลิตภัณฑ์เครื่องสำอางสำหรับใช้เพิ่มความชื้นให้แก่ผิวหนัง และ/หรือปกป้องความสูญเสียน้ำจากผิวหนัง ประกอบขึ้นด้วยการนำสารเสริมฤทธิ์มารวมกัน คือ 1,3-บิวเทนไดออล และ 3-เมทธิล-1,3-บิวเทนไดออล เพื่อใช้ผสมเข้าเป็นออกฤทธิ์ดังกล่าวข้างต้น และเป็นองค์ประกอบของผลิตภัณฑ์เครื่องสำอาง
