Abstract

The plastic cover, assembled with a top panel and side walls that form a border, and a circumferential band, is molded into the inner surface of the border side wall from the bottom end. A screw-on fitting for screwing onto the outer circumference of the container neck is formed on the inner surface of the border side. From the bottom end of the border side, the circumferential band extends downwards through a break made by several bridge sections on the inner surface of the bottom section of the circumferential band. A fitable protrusion, molded into the outer surface of the container neck, is formed, and at least one flexible fin extending inward along the diameter is provided on the inner surface of the circumferential band. When the container is tilted, the flexible fins will hook onto the neck fitting and will not be removed from the neck. Consistently, when pouring liquid from the container, the difficulty of the circumferential band falling into the container, such as a cup, along with the liquid inside, is effectively prevented.

Claims (5)

1. The plastic cover, comprising: the cover structure; and a circumferential band with a bottom section, inner surface, and at least one flexible fin with a top surface; where the cover structure has a top panel with a circumferential rim and a rim with a bottom section and inner surface, and which hangs down from the circumferential rim of the top panel; a circumferential band with breakable circumferential lines containing several bridges; such circumferential band connecting to the bottom end of the rim via the breakable circumferential lines; the inner surface of the rim is threaded to be threaded onto the outer neck surface of the container; the inner surface of the bottom section of the circumferential band with protrusions is shaped onto that section and adjusted to fit onto the fitting protrusions shaped onto the bottom of the outer neck surface of the container; and at least one flexible fin extending inward from the inner surface of the circumferential band. In a direction aligned with the diameter of the upper panel and spaced axially above the protrusions on the inner surface of the circumferential band, the upper surface of the flexible fin can come into contact with the outer neck surface of the container. 2. A plastic cover described in claim 1, in which flexible fins are positioned between a pair of adjacent bridges. 3. The plastic cover described in claim 1, where: the inner surface of the edge is incorporated with a stop extending downward from the bottom of the edge; and the inner surface of the circumference band is incorporated with an overhang facing the stop in the direction in which the cover is closed; such that at the time of closing the cover the overhang comes into contact with the stop and the cover and circumference band structure rotate together. 4. The plastic cover described in claim 1, where: the projection for fitting at the neck of the container shall be incorporated with a number of serrated cam projections; and the projections formed on the inner surface of the circumference band shall be incorporated with a number of flexible protruding projections which have roots and are at predetermined intervals and which extend along the inner surface of the circumference band in the direction in which the cover is opened. 5. The plastic cover described in claim 4, in which: the circumferential band is composed of a thicker upper section, a thinner lower section than the thicker upper section, and an inner surface of the thicker section connected to the thinner section via a horizontal section, and the root of a flexible protruding section connected to the inner surface of the thinner section and to the horizontal section.
