The chair, and its cross-facing structural components, which are firmly attached to the upper ends of the lower legs of the support beam, shall be provided with a movable and swivel backrest attached to the lower rear section of the said base frame by a shaft extending from one side of the chair to the other. The seat shall include a continuation of the front and back seat sections, which are flexibly connected by a flexible section near the center of the seat between the front and back seat sections and connected to the support beam. In order to function in conjunction with the support beam, the front seat section shall be locked to the front of the base frame to prevent tilting, but shall allow only forward and backward movement, and a return spring shall hold the support beam upright between the support beam and the base frame.

The chair and its components consist of a forward-facing base frame, fixed to the upper ends of the legs. The lower part of the support beam is provided with a movable and swivel backrest attached to the lower rear section of the base frame by a shaft extending from one side of the chair to the other. The seat includes a continuation of the front and rear seat sections, flexibly connected by a flexible section near the center of the seat between the front and rear sections. This flexible section is connected to the support beam. In conjunction with the support beam, one end of the gas spring is swivel-mounted on the rear section of the base frame, and the other end of the spring is swivel-mounted on the frame of the front seat section. A lever for opening and closing the gas spring's compression tongue and on which the front seat section is locked to the front of the base frame prevents tilting but allows only forward and backward movement.
