The polylactic acid resin composition meets the following (i) to (v): (i) the amount of linear oligomers of L-lactic acid and/or D-lactic acid is equal to or less than 0.3 parts by weight; (ii) the rate of weight-average molecular weight retention is equal to or greater than 70% after the polylactic acid resin composition has been held in the closed state at 220°C for 30 minutes; (iii) the degree of stereocomplex formation (Sc) is 80%; (vi) the heat of melting the stereocomplex crystals, deltaHmsc, is equal to or greater than 30 J/g; and (v) the heat of crystallization by cooling (deltaHc) is equal to or greater than 20 J/g. Polylactide resin composition is provided. Comprising 0.15 to 0.90 parts by weight of organic crystallizing agent (B), in addition to 100 parts by weight of polylactic acid resin (A), consisting of a poly-L-lactic acid component and a poly-D-lactic acid component, the polylactic acid resin composition meets the following (i) to (v): (i) the amount of linear oligomers of L-lactic acid and/or D-lactid acid is equal to or less than 0.3 parts by weight; (ii) the rate of weight-average molecular weight retention is equal to or greater than 70% after the polylactic acid resin composition is held in the closed state at 220 C for 30 minutes; (iii) the degree of stereocomplex formation (Sc) is 80%; (vi) the heat required to melt the stereocomplex crystals, Hmsc, is equal to or greater than 30 J/g; and (v) the amount of heat of crystallization by cooling (Hc) is equal to or greater than 20 joules/gram.
