DC60 (13/02/44) The breakable cap cover (1) is used to hold the cap (6) in a sealed connection with the open end of the small bottle (2). The breakable cap cover (1) is molded from a breakable plastic and is provided with a pair of parallel, spaced-out notches or V-grooves (5) that extend transversely across the top wall (3) of the breakable cap cover (1) and downward along the cap edge (4) to the bottom edge of each side of the cap edge. A thumb and finger interlock (4a) is provided at the bottom edge of the edge (4) adjacent to the ends of the notches (5) so that by pushing inward on the thumb and finger interlock (4a), the breakable cap cover (1) breaks into three pieces to expose the cap (6) for the insertion of the syringe needle into the small bottle. To extract the contents of the syringe from the pod, a breakable cap cover (1) is used to hold the cap (6) in a sealed connection with the open end of the pod (2). The cap cover (1) is molded from a breakable plastic and is provided with a pair of parallel, spaced-out notches or V-grooves (5) that extend transversely across the top wall (3) of the cap cover (1) and downward along the pod edge (4) to the bottom edge of each side of the pod. Claims (7)

1. An assembled unit of a fragmented overcap and a small bottle with an open neck sealed by the cap. The fragmented overcap has a top wall, a downward-extending flap from the top wall, a device for connecting the overcap to the neck of the small bottle for securing the cap in place on the small bottle, and at least one notch extending transversely across the top wall of the cap and downward along the flap to the edge of the flap. At least one gripping segment on the lower edge of the flap attaches to the end of the notch. The overcap is molded from fragmentable plastic, which, when at least one of the gripping segments is pushed inward toward the neck of the small bottle, breaks apart and separates to expose the cap. 2. The assembled set according to claim 1 consists of a pair of parallel, spaced-out notches extending transversely across the top wall of the cover and downward along the flange to the lower edge of the top flange on each side of the cover. 3. The assembled set according to claim 2 consists of a thumb interlocking part and an index finger interlocking part on the lower edge of the flap attached to the end of the notch line. 4. The assembled set according to claim 1 features a notched section with a V-shaped groove. 5. The assembled unit pursuant to claim 1 consists of an enlarged portion protruding radially along the lower edge of such portion. 6. The assembly pursuant to claim 1, the shoulder with its lower surface, is provided on the neck of the small bottle and the device for connecting the cap to the neck of the small bottle consists of a number of inward and upward protruding strips that are one piece with the lower end of such strip. These strips interlock with the lower surface of the said shoulder. 7. The assembled unit according to claim 1, a number of inward radial ridges, is a single piece with the inner surface of such rim, and a gear-like rim composed of a number of circumferentially spaced gear teeth is a single piece with the neck of the small bottle. Such ridges have protrusions into the area between the gear teeth when the cover over the broken cap is fitted in a sealing position on the small bottle.
