Abstract

The DC60 household appliance (1) for washing items has at least one electric pump (8) for circulation or drainage. The electric pump (8) has an outer volute section (9) with an inner pump chamber (9a), an impeller (10) that is axially packed into the inner pump chamber (9a), and an electric motor (11) that is mechanically connected to the impeller (10) to rotate around its axis of rotation (A). The impeller (10) at the same time has a central hub (17) that is axial to the axis of rotation (A), and at least one movable bar (18) that is attached to the central hub (17) and moves between a fully retracted position in which the bar (18) itself is almost completely retracted into the central hub (17), and a fully extended position in which the bar (18) extends away from the central hub (17) so that the outer edge (18a) of the bar is further from the axis of rotation (A) than when the bar (18) is in the fully retracted position.

Claims (8)

OCR 08PV 1. A household appliance (1) for washing items has at least one electric pump (8) for circulation or drainage. The electric pump (8) has an outer helical section (9) and an inner pump section (9a) impeller (10) which is mounted in an axial rotation position in the shaft. An electric motor (11) is mechanically connected to the impeller (10) to rotate the impeller (A). The impeller (10) at the same time has a central hub (17) which is axial to the axis of rotation (A) and at least one movable blade (18) which is mounted to the central hub and movable between the fully retracted position in which the blade (18) itself is almost completely retracted into the hub and fully retracted in which the other blade (18) is away from the hub (77) so that the outer blade (18a) of the blade is further away from the axis of rotation (A) than when the blade (18) is in the fully retracted position. 2. The household appliance as described in claim 1 is characterized by the propeller (10) having a means (19) to control the position of the movable blades (17) according to the instantaneous angular velocity of the central control (17). 3. The household appliance as described in claim 2 is characterized by a path (19) for controlling one of the movable propellers on the central control (17) moving the movable propeller blades (18) to a full retractable position when the angular speed of the propeller (10) is reduced below a specified value. 4. For domestic use as in any of the preceding claims, it is characterized by at least one movable protruding blade (18) consisting of a substantial plate-like fin (18) that is in a radial plane bent relative to the axis of rotation (A) of the propeller (10) and is fitted in a sliding manner within a corresponding radial channel (17a) formed in the body of the central hub (17). 5. The household appliance as described in claims 3 and 4 is characterized in which such pathway (19) for controlling the position of the movable propeller consists of at least one flexible assembly (19) which is placed in a radial slot (17a) in the central hub (17) and has one end attached to the radial slot 17a barrier and the second end attached to the body of such plate-like fin (18) to pull the fin (18) onto the radial slot 17a barrier. Such flexible assembly (19) is designed to resist centrifugal force and hold the movable propeller (18) in a fully retracted position when the angular speed of the propeller (10) is below a specified value. 6. The household appliance, as described in any of the preceding claims, has a specific characteristic in which the propeller (10) consists of a number of movable, protruding blades (18) that are concave at equal angles around the central hub (17). 7. Household appliances as described in one of the preceding claims have a specific characteristic, such as a washing machine or a dishwasher. 8. Household appliances as described in claim 7 have a specific type in which the electric pump is a drainage pump (8).
