Description
(5) CANDLE COMPOSITION The invention relates to the field of household chemicals, in particular to candles for various purposes, and can be used in the household chemicals industry. The composition of the candle, a paraffin wax base, stearin and ceresin, is known and is intended for use in everyday life. The disadvantage of these candles is their high swellability and low heat resistance. Under the influence of environmental heat at a temperature, they soften, deform and lose their original shape. The closest to the present invention is the composition of candle 2, including paraffin and stearin. In addition, it contains ceresin and pigment in the following ratio, wt.%: Paraffin86.6 Stearin10.05 Ceresin3.3 Pigment fat-soluble red0.05 Candles of known composition during combustion of the grime and at the temperature are deformed and lose their shape. The aim of the invention is to increase the heat resistance of a candle and to improve the burning process by reducing melting and preventing the formation of soot. The goal is achieved by the fact that the composition of the candle, including paraffin and stearin, is different in that it additionally includes oxyzine in the following ratio of components, wt%: Paraffin, 8i "-90 Stearin 2-Oksizin 8-12 Oksizin is a product of ceresin oxidation Su, P -) The acid number of 6 oxyzine is k-20 mg KOH / g, the saponification number is 30-60 mg KOH / g, the ester number is 16-40 mg KOH / g. Since oxygenated compounds with a higher dropping point than the hydrocarbons from which they were formed are part of oxysin, oxyzine as a whole has a higher dropping point (BB-ET C). The known composition of the candle includes stearin with a melting point of 53-58 ° C and 3.3 ceresin with an es-SS C dropping temperature. In the proposed composition of the candle, the amount of ts "oh stearin is reduced, and the amount of oxyzine is increased; compared to ceresin , respectively, by 2.5-5 times and by 3 times. Because of this, candles made with the use of oxysin j have a dropping point higher than that of a known and more resistant rack. The presence of oxygen-containing compounds oxysine has a positive effect on the burning of candles. Oxyzine oxygen (esters, acids, etc.) supports combustion and thereby eliminates the formation of soot. In addition, there is air between the oxysin crystals, which is a poor conductor of heat, so when a candle burns, a crater is formed and the insulated air prevents the candle edges from melting rapidly, which minimizes its melting. 8 To obtain the composition, three mixtures of ingredients were prepared, in wt.%. I II III Paraffin 90 8 8t Stearin 2 3 Oksizin 8 10 12 Each formulation was prepared separately as follows. A calculated amount of all the ingredients is swirled in a reactor equipped with a stirrer and a jacket for heating. The mixture is melted, stirred until a homogeneous mass is formed, then the mass is poured into candle molds and cooled. Finished candles are tested for heat resistance and burning. Heat resistance is determined by the dropping point according to GOST 6793-7. The burning pattern of the candles is determined visually. A sheet of writing paper is placed above the burning candle at a distance of 20 cm from the end of the wick. When burning candles for one hour on the paper should not be soot. The test results are presented in the table. The data in the table indicate that the heat resistance of candles made from the proposed composition is higher than that of the known and the burning behavior is better. The use of the proposed composition allows the use of candles at high ambient temperatures, reduces the amount of waste during storage, and consequently, reduces the consumption of raw materials and increases their service life.
