Description
In auth. ST. No. 68203 describes an air depolarization electrolytic cell with an alkaline electrolyte, the positive electrode of which is formed of several folded electrode plates, each of which consists of an iron frame and an active mass deposited on it with a binding material. As a bonding material is PVC, OR, according to ed. St. No. 80427, polystyrene, or any synthetic resin.
Дл доступа его к верхней части положительного электрода в крыщке элемента имеютс соответствующие отверсти .In the described element, the positive electrode is only partially immersed in the electrolyte, while the upper part of it, which is located above the electrolyte level in air, makes it possible to absorb oxygen from the air. To access it to the top of the positive electrode in the cap of the cell, there are corresponding openings.
The purpose of this additional invention, modifying a galvanic cell according to the author. St. No. 68203, is sealing it, preventing the electrolyte from leaking out of the cell when it is turned over and, at that time, allowing the positive electrode to absorb oxygen from the air.
The task is solved, according to the invention, by fixing the upper part of the positive electrode in an iron casing, having the form of an inverted box, soldered to the element lid so that there is an air gap between the horizontal wall of the cage and the top part of the positive electrode, communicating with outside air.
Как видно из чертежа с изображенным па нем гaльвaничecки элементом в разрезе гюложительный электрод 1 верхней своей частью вставлен и закреплен в железной обойме 2, имеющей форуму перевер№ 95127 2 -As can be seen from the drawing with the picture of the galvanic element in the section, the enclosing electrode 1 is inserted with its upper part and fixed in an iron holder 2, which has a forum # 95127 2 -
нутой коробки с четырьм |боковыми и одной горизонталыной (верхней) стенкой.chickpea box with four | side and one horizontal (upper) wall.
4.The electrode / is fixed in such a way that an air space 4 remains between its upper surface 3 and the horizontal wall of the holder 2.
The sleeve 2 is welded or soldered from the inside to the iron lid 5 of the element. Both in the lid and in the casing a through hole b is made, soobsh.ayup1, its space 4 above the electrodes with outside air. Through this hole, outside air can penetrate to the upper horizontal surface 3 of electrode 1, on which oxygen is absorbed from the air. Space 7, located inside the cell above the electrolyte, does not have any external air, and the side surfaces 8 of the electrode / do not participate in oxygen absorption.
The air space 4 inside the sleeve 2 is not in communication with the rest of the space inside the element, as the electrode / is inserted and secured tightly in the holder, without gaps on the sides, and, in addition, the interface line of the sleeve 2 with the side surface of the electrode / hermetic | Coziness by pouring bituminous tar or sh, solid wood varnish.
In this way, the sealing of the element is ensured and the electrolyte escapes from it when it is re-circulated. At the same time, the proposed design of the element provides sufficiently good conditions for absorbing oxygen from the air with a positive electrode, so that the element has a normal discharge capacity — not smaller than peermetic elements of the same size.
