Description

The present invention relates to the maintenance of blast furnaces and similar shaft furnaces into which top dust is blown. With current management methods, the injection is done with air. In this case, there is the inconvenience that there is a new melting point and the furnace is clogged in this place. The proposed method aims to eliminate this drawback, producing gas not by air, but by a non-oxidizing gas, and the head gas is proposed as such a gas.

When conducting blast furnaces and similar shaft furnaces together with gases, a significant amount of charge in the form of flue dust is uselessly carried away. This changes, firstly, the composition of the charge, and secondly, a significant amount of material is lost, the lack of which is covered by the fact that the collected top dust is bound or briquetted and reintroduced into the kiln.

Attempts were made to use the flue dust again without binding it and briquetting it into the air tuyeres and thus entering the furnace. But because of this

Все эти известные приемы однако, не имели, успеха, так как они или нарушали равномерную работу доменной печи, или же были очень сложны в выполнении .Significant deterioration in the ratio of furnace temperatures, just before the tuyeres, appears. They tried to eliminate these shortcomings by the fact that simultaneously with the blast dust, either coal dust or oxygen was blown through the fuels. All these known methods, however, did not succeed, as they either disturbed the uniform operation of the blast furnace, or were very difficult to carry out.

It has now been established that the top dust is entrained in the gas flow mainly in the upper layers of the charge. When it has reached the lower layers, it goes down with the charge and is easily processed in the furnace. Based on these observations, the idea came to blow the flue dust down into the tuyeres, but in that part of the mine, and into those springs from which it is no longer carried away by the gas flow. If this injection occurs, as usual, with the help of air, a new melting point appears and the furnace is blocked in this place. The invention proposes to produce injection not by air, but by neo-acid
