Description
(54) METHOD OF MANUFACTURING PLASTIC PRODUCTS The invention relates to the field of plastics processing, in particular, by the method of injection molding. A known method of making a plate of mass products is by injecting a thermoplastic melt under pressure into a mold, holding it under pressure, cooling it and immersing the mold with the cooled article into a water bath of HZ. However, the resulting products have low mechanical characteristics. The closest to the proposed technical essence and the achieved result is the method of manufacturing plastic products by injecting thermoplastic melt under pressure into a mold, holding and cooling in it, carried out at the temperature of the cavity (+20) - (+40) ° C 2. The disadvantages of this method are the low values of the impact capacity and strength of the polymer material in the product and the duration of the molding. The aim of the invention is to increase the toughness and strength of the products. This goal is achieved by the fact that in the known method of manufacturing plastic products by injecting a thermoplastic melt under pressure into a mold, holding it under pressure and cooling therein, the melt is kept in a mold at a temperature of the cavity 0-120 ° C for 2-10 c, and the cooling is carried out with a refrigerant until the temperature of the interior cavity drops to (-20) - (+30) ° C. A method for manufacturing plastic products is as follows: A molten thermoplastic is injected into a molding cavity shaped cavity, the walls of which are heated to temperatures from kO to within a fraction of a second, for example, by induction heaters. Then, the polymer is exposed to temperature in the decorating cavity for the time determined by the technological mode (2-10 s), after which the refrigerant previously cooled, for example, by a two-stage condensing unit to a negative temperature, is supplied to the special channels of the mold, which ensures rapid cooling of the decorating cavity to a temperature of (-20) - (+30) ° C. After reaching a solid state of aggregation of the polymer in the form, the molded product is removed,
Tables 1 and 2 show the quality haoacteristics (notched impact viscosity and tensile strength) of molded articles made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) of grade 209-01 and impact resistant scarstirol (UE) of mark UPM-508, obtained by a known method and proposed.
Оптимальные значени указанных характеристик соответствуют температурной выдержке, равной 6 с, начальной и конечной температуре оформл ющей полости формы соответственно +70®С и .From the tables it can be seen that by increasing the duration of the temperature exposure, increasing the initial temperature of the mold making cavity and lowering the temperature of the latter with a coolant, an increase in the impact strength and breaking strength of HDPE and UE is observed. The optimal values of these characteristics correspond to a temperature exposure of 6 s, the initial and final temperature of the mold cavity, respectively + 70 ° C and.
An increase in the temperature of the shaping cavity above + 120 ° C is associated with a decrease in the impact strength and strength of the polymer in the product, as well as an increase in the duration of heating of the shape cavity and a sharp increase in the energy cost of heating. The lowering of the mold temperature below (-20) C is associated with a substantial 1M increase in other HETTHbix material characteristics in the product and is limited by the technical possibilities of industrial refrigeration tanks.
The increase in the duration of temperature exposure over 10 s is justified due to a significant increase in the cooling time of the product, which is shown in Table 3 for the example of an injection molded product from PWVT with a thickness of mm. It also follows from the table that due to the cooling of the shape cavity of the mold with a refrigerant after temperature exposure, the molding time of the product is sharply reduced, and it becomes possible to increase the productivity of plastic products.
Thus, the use of the proposed method of manufacturing plastic products will expand the scope of application of polymeric materials by increasing their deformation (impact viscosity) and strength (breaking viscosity) characteristics during their processing into products, as well as intensify plastic processing processes, which will undoubtedly save national economy.
