Description

(54) DEVICE FOR CORRECTION OF THE SPINE

one

The invention relates to medical technology, namely to surgical devices in orthopedics as distractors in the surgical treatment of spinal deformity of the spine, and especially in children.

A device for correcting the spinal column is known, which contains a threaded rod with hooks and a transverse rod with fixation elements 1.

However, this device is not sufficiently effective in the presence of kyphoscoliotic deformity of the spine, and especially in children, since it is not designed for a fixed kyphotic component in the body with incomplete growth.

The purpose of the invention is the possibility of treating spinal kyphoscoliotic deformity.

The goal is achieved by the fact that the device is equipped with a ratchet mechanism

made in the form of two sleeves with toothed end surfaces, one of the "etoors has a hook, and springs mounted at the ends of the threaded rod and interacting with the hooks, while the threaded rod is made with two connectors,

one of the connectors has bushings installed, and the other has a hinge, in addition, the fixing elements in the transverse section are arranged in the form of a curved plate and polyester tapes.

The drawing shows a device for the correction of the spine, a general view.

The longitudinal rod is formed from two parts 1,2. One half of it has a support platform in the form of shoulders 3 and 3 for the stop of a spring or hook. The second half has two cylindrical thickenings 10 or 4 with holes. On the middle part of it is carved. Connector 5 is formed by the joint surfaces of the two halves of the longitudinal rod. On one there is an internal cylindrical bore, passing over 15 at the edges into a tapered surface. In the other there is a docking finger having a hemispherical end, and a shoulder for an abutment after docking. Such a connector allows manipulation of the spinal column in the presence of a kyphotic component in the type of joint and changing the length of the distractor depending on the amount of deformation. The tavern sleeve 6 has the shape of a hollow cylinder with a right-hand thread on the inside.

One of its end surfaces consists of teeth to form a ratchet device. Ratchet lock hook 7 consists of a short sleeve, equal in diameter to the tender. On the end surface of its applied teeth, in the form of coinciding with the teeth on the tender sleeve. The hook 8 departs from its lateral surface. The tavern sleeve ensures a smooth displacement of the hooks by carrying out distraction. The ratchet device prevents the sleeve from twisting due to the lock and thus eliminates the loss of the achieved deformation correction. Hooks 9 are installed on the rod to grip half-bows, transverse and spinous processes in the paragibal regions and during spinal deformity Lavsan loops 10 of tapes or hollow cords create the possibility of forming additional points for the transverse and spinous processes, edges in the desired amount . On the longitudinal rod there is a transverse bar ha 11, having a right-hand thread throughout. Its diameter is smaller than the diameter of the holes on the longitudinal rod of the distractor.

On the transverse side, a tensioning nut 12 is installed. Its surface, adjacent to the longitudinal rod of the distractor, has a spherical shape, the radius of which is equal to the radius of the rod adjacent to it. Therefore, the nut, which is attached to the longitudinal rod of the distractor plate, simultaneously serves as a locking device. A curved plate 13 is installed on the transverse bar, designed to rest against the vertex of spinal deformity. The springs 14 for their diameters correspond to the diameters of the sleeves, operate due to the potential energy of compressed springs with different forces and are designed to prevent the loss of the deformity correction due to the continued growth of the spine in length, the onset of the bedsores of the bone tissue at the points of support and creating conditions for additional correction of defr .matation of the spine in the dynamics. Transitional tabs 15 are used as docking joints between the hooks of the device, and some of them, which have holes, can be used as pivot points for the Dacron loops.

When using the proposed device, after separating the posterior elements of the spine from the concave side of the curvature, hooks are placed behind the half-bows of the neutral vertebrae and plate hooks for the selected points of support (half-bows, spinous and transverse processes in the required amount) during the arc of deformation. Then they are connected with the possibility of using the transitional puck on the device shaft by inserting the ends of the latter into their hole in the undocked state of the connector. In this case, the rods of the device are laid

on the arc of deformation, forming an angle between them, equal to the angle of the kyphosis, and the connector with the hinge is mounted on the top of the kyphosis. By isolating spinous processes, half-arms and transverse processes, at the top

.. spinal deformities on the convex side are placed a curved plate of transverse rod with or without mvalan bands in the form of loops. Using a threaded transverse rod, the plate is connected to the longitudinal rod of the device. Using a notch nut, pull the plate to the device shaft, creating an additional repair for the scoliotic component.

At the time of correction of spinal deformity, the springs at each end of the device are compressed, and their potential energy in the postoperative period is expended on opening the hooks on the rod at the moment of growth of the spine during bone sores and

5 additional correction of spinal deformity in dynamics.

Thus, using the design features of the proposed device, a significant corrective effect is achieved in the operative treatment of kyphokfolios for and especially in the body with incomplete growth without pronounced damage to the bone tkapi and the long-lasting stabilizing effect on the treatment.
