(54) ELASTIC SUSPENSION
VThe invention relates to a vibro-building technique and can be used in general engineering to increase the efficiency of vibration isolation of machines and devices. The known suspension containing the base and the elastic element fl I mounted on it. A disadvantage of the known suspension is that it does not provide damping of oscillations in a wide frequency range. The technical essence and the achieved result closest to the invention is an elastic suspension with upper and lower bases and a hinged between the lower elastic element of the arcuate shape 2j. The disadvantages of such a suspension are its low damping, oscillation efficiency and low reliability associated with loss of stability. The purpose of the invention is to increase the efficiency of vibration insulation and longitudinal stability. This goal is achieved by the fact that the suspension is provided with an additional similarly made and mirrored elastic element, and the distance between the elastic elements in the middle part is equal to the total value of the deflections of the elastic elements at the moment of buckling. The drawing shows the proposed suspension. The suspension includes upper and lower bases 1 and 2 and the main elastic element 3 of arcuate shape articulated between them and an additional elastic element 4 similarly made and mirror-arranged. The distance 5 between the elastic elements 3 and 4 in their middle convex part 6 and 7 is equal to the total the deflection of the elastic elements 3 and 4 at the time of loss of stability. Lod works as follows. Under the action of the load on the object (not shown), which is mounted on the upper base I, the ends of the elastic elements 3 and 4 converge due to their deflection, while the middle parts 6 and 7 of the elastic elements 3 and 4 move to meet each other and 5 between them decreases. At a certain value of the deflections and the approaching ends of the elastic elements 3 and 4, their convex middle parts 6 and 7 come into contact and the nature of the elastic characteristic changes dramatically. Before the contact of the convex middle parts 6 and 7, the elastic characteristic has a soft character, i.e. the stiffness of the suspension gradually decreases. Starting from the moment when the elastic elements 3 and 4 come into contact, the area of their contact increases and the elastic characteristic takes on a hard character, i.e., the stiffness coefficient increases. When choosing the moment of coming into contact, close to the moment of loss of stability, the rigidity and, consequently, the natural frequency are close to zero. This moment comes when distance 5 is equal to the total value of the deflections of the elastic elements 3 and 4 at the moment of loss of stability. Due to low natural frequencies, the effect of quenching is increased.
