Description
FeO.The invention relates to physicochemical measurements and can be used to determine the concentration of nitrate ions in solutions in the manufacture of drugs, photoreactives, in the analysis of soil and natural waters, as well as gaseous nitrogen dioxide in the control of atmospheric pollution. Nitrate ion-selective electrodes are known that contain an electrically inactive substance in the form of a liquid ion-exchange membrane, including the anion N 0 1. However, these electrodes have a low stability and reproducibility of the potential and a limited area of linearity of the electrode function. The film ion-selective electrode for detecting aerial anne nitrate ions containing the substrate and the matrix with the electrode active substance used in it as methyltricaprilyl ammonium nitrate is closest to the present invention. The disadvantage of this electrode is low sensitivity. The purpose of the invention is to increase the sensitivity of the electrode. This goal is achieved by the fact that in the device containing a substrate and a matrix with an electrode-active substance introduced into it, an insoluble bivalent iron compound, such as ferrous oxide, is used as an electrode-active substance. Electrodes are prepared by mixing an electrode-active substance (ferrous oxide) with a matrix in a 1: 1 or 2: 1 ratio, followed by applying this mixture on a platinized titanium substrate and drying at room temperature. Fluoroplastic emulsion is used as a matrix, which prevents hydrate 1; iy and oxidation of FeO.
