Машиностроение , 11968.The invention relates to filtering, in particular to cartridge paper filters, not intended for cleaning fuel from mechanical impurities and water, and can be applied in the aviation, autotractor and other industries. A filtering element comprising flanges, a filtering material and a protective cover arranged between them on a perforated base and made in the form of a cylinder from a perforated rectangular sheet (1. The disadvantage of the known filtering element 5 is that water separated from the fuel during its cleaning process accumulates between the casing and the filtering material at its lower end and does not flow down from it, which reduces the reliability of the filtering element, as water clogs the pores of the filtering material, and when used paper as the filtering material loses its strength due to constant contact with water. Reducing the height of the casing and the formation of an annular gap between the flanges of the filter casing does not have an effect, because the casing made of perforated paper sheet swells out during operation. slides under its own weight downwards and, choosing the gap left, blocks the path of the water for sludge. The invention’s chain is to increase the reliability of the filter element by improving the drainage / accumulation between the casing and the filter media. This goal is achieved by the fact that in the filtering element containing flanges, there is a filtering material fixed between them on a perforated base and a wired casing made from a rectangular perforated sheet, the latter is installed along a helical line and comes in contact with a joint of the ends of the sheet. With this installation of the casing, a constant wedge gap is formed between the flanges of the filter element and the ends of the casing, through which the water is removed in the sludge. The drawing shows the view of the filter element. The filter element consists of flash units 1, between which is placed the filter material 2, executed, for example, of corrugated paper. A protective cover 3, made of a rectangular perforated sheet of paper, is placed over the chip of the rubbing material. When installing the casing, when glueing it together, the ends are displaced in the axial direction until contact with the flanges, as a result, the end edges of the casing run along a helical line and form a wedge gap with the flanges. The filter element works as follows. The fuel to be cleaned is supplied to the filter surface, penetrates through it and is discharged to the consumer. Mechanical particles and water are trapped on the surface of the filtrating material. The water droplets are enlarged and roll down the filtering surface to the skim flange and, through the wedge gap between the casing and the flange, are diverted to sludge. The use of the invention makes it possible to increase the supersensibility of the filtering element and the resource of its operation. Claims A filler element comprising flanges fixed between them on a perforated base filter material and a protective case made of a perforated rectangular sheet, characterized in that, in order to improve the operation of the filter element, by improving the drainage of water accumulating between the case and filter material when filtering fuel, the sheet is installed along a helix and is in contact with the flanges at the junction of the sheet ends.
