(54) METHOD FOR MELTING STEELS AND ALLOYS
This invention relates to metallurgy, in particular, to methods for smelting steel and alloys. Known is the method of smelting steel and alloys, including melting, heating the melt at 250-500 ° C above the melting temperature and holding i at this temperature under a layer of slag containing magnesium oxide 1 j. However, the known method does not provide for the production of alloys with lowered hectare content, high physicomechanical properties, and also reduces the resistance of the furnace lining. The purpose of the invention is to reduce gas saturation, improve the quality of the metal and increase the durability (furnace heating. This goal is achieved due to the fact that, according to the method of smelting steel and alloys, including melting, the melt is heated 25O5OOg C above the melting temperature and is kept at under the layer of magnesium oxide containing slag, after the metal, a slag containing 6O-9O% magnesium oxide is introduced to the branded chemical composition. The melt is heated and aged at a temperature of 25O-5OO C above the melting point under It contains 6O-9O% MgO and has a high viscosity, reduces the diffusion and convective mass transfer of gases through the slag layer to the metal. This ensures reliable protection of the metal mirror from atmospheric gases and significantly reduces the aggressive activity of the slag in relation to the furnace lining. Calcium ions for stronger magnesium ions reduce the sorption capacity of slag with respect to gases. All this reduces the gas saturation of the melt and improves the quality of the metal. When the content in the slag 6O% Mgtfcio gas saturation of steel and lower; The resistance of the furnace lining is compounded. The content in the slag of more than 9O% MgfO is limited by the absence of such slag-forming materials in megalurgical practice. The proposed method was carried out in the smelting of high strength steel 25H2G2F in an open induction electric furnace with a capacity of 150 kg. After melting, doping and deoxidation, slag was induced, and the MgO content was varied over a wide range. The metal was heated to 1730 ° C and kept at this temperature for 15 minutes. Steel was poured into clubs samples, from which the content of gases was determined, the kinematic viscosity at 160 ° С and impact strength at + 20 ° С.
