(54) SUBMERGED GAS BURNER
1.The invention relates to burners in which gaseous fuel is mixed with chlorine gas and entering the combustion chamber, and can be used in non-ferrous metallurgy in the production of magnesium, namely, for the chlorination of carnallite (magnesium raw material) in the second stage of its dehydration. A well-known submerged gas burner, containing successively installed along the axis of the housing with the formation of annular gaps, an oxidizer supply pipe and a combustion chamber, separated from the last transverse partition with nozzles and fitted with a bottle in the lower part of its side wall apertures 1. However, such a burner cannot provide an effective stable burning natural gas with chlorine in the carnallip melt layer due to clogging of the combustion chamber with soot that is abundantly released during the combustion process. The aim of the invention is to increase the combustion efficiency by improving the displacement. This goal is achieved by the fact that the sleep tube of the gun is equipped with screw ribs, adjacent outer ends to the body, an additional row of tangential holes are made in the upper part of the side wall of the combustion chamber, and the axes of the holes in its lower part are inclined along the gases and intersect on the burner axis at one point, the nozzles in the transverse partition are placed axially in the zone bounded by the inner chamber cavity, the outlet section of the body tightly adjoins the latter, the annular gaps in the chamber zone and the pipes are communicated m Between themselves and connected to the fuel source. FIG. 1 shows a burner, a longitudinal section; in fig. 2 is a section A-A in FIG. 1. The burner comprises a housing 1 and installed along its axis with the formation of annular gaps 2 and 3 of the oxidizer supply pipe 4 and the combustion chamber 5, which is separated from the pipe 4 by a partition 6 with nozzles 7 and whose side walls are provided in the lower part with a number of holes 8, and at the top — a series of tangential openings 9. The pipe 4 is externally provided with screw ribs 10, adjacent outer ends to the housing 1.
