Description
(54) METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SHEET GLASS
1one
The invention relates to the building materials industry, in particular to the equipment of glass factories.
1.A known method of forming sheet glass from a jet of glass melt vertically drained from the furnace, using vibrating devices (plates) mounted on both sides of the moldable ribbon of glass 1.
The disadvantages of this method are the significant resistance to the movement of a molded glass ribbon between two flat elements, which reduces the performance of the method, and the wide range of products obtained.
The purpose of the invention is to increase productivity.
The goal is achieved by the method of making sheet glass by pre-forming a ribbon of glass mass that is drained down and final molding using a vibration device, the final molding of the ribbon is carried out by rolling two rollers, one of which is given vibrational vibrations directed parallel to the surface another roll.
The drawing shows the device, a longitudinal section.
К узлу формовани примыкает устройство 9 дл тепловой обработки ленты 7 стекла (например печь отжига).The glass mass 1 from the glass melting furnace 2 is drained from the tray 3 in the form of a jet 4, molded by the force of gravity into a tape, the thickness of which exceeds the specified one. The glass melt temperature in the tray is 1100-1150 ° C. Using rolls 5 and 6, preferably water-cooled, a jet 4 of glass melt is rolled into a strip 7 of a given thickness. The preferred temperature of the jet glass before the rolls 900-1000 ° C. When rolling the tape 7 simultaneously with its shaping to a predetermined thickness, cooling of the tape 7 of the glass to 700-800 ° C is performed. In this case, one of the rolls, preferably of a smaller diameter (for example, the upper 5), is vibrated, directed parallel to the surface of the other roll (lower 6), which allow, at a higher production rate, to roll a thinner strip of glass with smaller efforts. The flow rate of the merged glass melt is regulated by the hook 8. An apparatus 9 for heat treatment of the glass band 7 (for example, an annealing furnace) is adjacent to the forming unit.
