Description
(54) MEASUREMENT METHOD FOR ULTRA-HIGH-FREQUENCY RESONATOR.
The invention relates to radio engineering and can be used to measure the Q-factor of hollow microwave resonators. A Q-meter is known for a microwave resonator containing a series-connected microwave generator, an amplitude modulator, a test resonator and a detector, a first tunable generator connected to the second input of the amplitude modulator p. However, the known meter provides relatively low measurement accuracy. The purpose of the invention is to improve the measurement accuracy. The goal is achieved by the fact that the second nepe of the tunable generator, the first amplifier and the second amplifier in series are inserted into the meter, the divider is a comparable unit and the control element while the second tunable generator is connected to the third input of the amplitude modulator, the second amplifier inputs are connected to the detector output and the first amplifier, the output of which is connected to the other input of the highlight of the comparison, and the output of the control element is connected to the input of the first tunable generator. The drawing shows the structural electrical circuit of the proposed meter. The Q-meter of the microwave resonator contains a microwave generator 1, amplitude modulator 2, first tunable generator 3, test resonator 4, detector 5, control element 6, second tunable generator 7, first and second amplifiers 8 and 9, respectively, voltage divider 10 and block II comparison. Q-meter works as follows. Oscillations with the frequency fQCBepXBbico-frequency generator 1, tuned to the resonant frequency of the test resonator 4, are fed to the amplitude modulator 2, where they are harmonically modulated in amplitude according to the harmonic law, signals coming from tunable generators 3 and 7, with frequencies F and Fg and with the same modulation depth, the modulated signal passing through the measured resonator 4, goes to detector 5. Two amplifiers 8 and 9 are connected to detector 5 with equal gain factors, the first amplifier 8 is set to partial the modulations FP and the second amplifier 9 - on Ftf frequency. Amplifiers 8 and 9 select these frequencies from a signal that is complex in harmonics at detector 5. The amplitudes of signals with frequencies Fg and F depend on the Q-factor of the test resonator 4 as well as the amplitudes of the harmonics (and (fot) The ratio of these amplitudes is uniquely x

FAThe magnitude relationship of the amplitudes is given by the voltage divider 10. If signals with different amplitudes are supplied to the inputs of the AND block, then at its output there is a signal that controls the frequency of the first tunable generator 3. The tuning of the first tunable generator 3 is prec. It grows when signals with the same amplitudes appear on both inputs of block 1I, i.e. when the ratio of the amplitudes of the first harmonic frequencies FA
