The invention relates to the surface ttazmenno-arc processing of metals and can be widely used in the foundry industry with the removal of surface defects of castings. There is a known method of plasma surface treatment, in which the plasma torch is installed under the iron 15-20 and the formation gas is fed into it and the mixture is cooled by vortex flows coinciding in direction, and the flow of the cooling mixture is fed to stream II. The main disadvantage of this method is its intensive shunting in the zone between the nozzle section and the element being cut, the surface of the part is disturbed due to burnout of the metal at the points of shunting and the process performance is reduced due to a decrease in its penetrating ability. The aim of the invention is to increase the productivity of the process and the quality of the treated surface. The goal is achieved by the fact that the cooling mixture is fed at an angle of 20-40 to the arc axis. FIG. 1 shows a schematic diagram of the 1-process; in fig. 2 - the same, top view. The cooling mixture, falling into the cavity between the arc and the piece, creates a stable potential barrier that prevents the arc bypass, and localizes the arc reference point at the root of the hall, and the angle of the mixture should be 20-40 ° with respect to the arc axis. At these feed angles, the most favorable conditions are created to create a sustainable potential barrier. At feed angles greater than 40 ° due to centrifugal force, the mixture is dropped at the nozzle exit in the radial direction, without creating a potential barrier. With an aliased supply of the mixture at an angle of less than 20 °, due to the high pressure in zones I and (Fig. 1), the cold gas flow moves to the reduced pressure zone T and presses the arc to the product even more, creating favorable arc shunting conditions.
