Description
There are several known methods for disinfecting fur and leather raw materials, such as: 1) the formalin pair method, 2} the Seymour Jos method, 3) the Shottenfrz method.
The steam-formalin method, being relatively suitable for disinfecting finished items, is not effective with respect to raw materials and its use is usually associated with spoilage of hides.
According to numerous studies (Tilly, Gilgerman, Marmann, Sevchik, etc.), the use of the Seymour-Jones method is that salivary is scarce, expensive, and, moreover, does not have bactericidal activity that is sufficient to destroy the Siberian anthrax spores.
Relatively good results are given by the Shottenfro method. However, as was established by Sevchik, Schnurer and others, in a number of cases the Shottenfro method does not provide complete disinfection of sibiotic hides. This is especially true for yellow and greasy skins, as well as for furs and fur sheepskin, the hair of which contains all sorts of soils, sewn up, seeking controversy from the action of a disinfector.
Formaldehyde solutions have a strong disinfecting action against Siberian spores. Repeated attempts have been made to use formaldehyde solutions for disinfecting sibi-link skins. Formaldehyde solutions have been found to be bactericidal enough for this purpose, but their use is limited; due to deterioration of leather as a result of asshole, (Mogli, Tilly). The authors have developed a method for tanning sibiral raw material with simultaneous disinfection of hides with formaldehyde solutions, which exclude the risk of damage to leather.
Дальнейша обработка материала обычна .The proposed method of tanning is that the fur raw materials and furs are subjected to soaking, softening, pekingization, treatment with a solution of formaldehyde at a pH of about 2.0-2.2, and the following: m solution of soda at a pH of about 8.0 - 8 , 3 in a closed apparatus without intermediate between separate operations plum-waste solutions and discharges of the material being worked, followed by washing with an aqueous solution of sodium chloride and bisulfite. Further material handling is usual.
S0.The hides that have undergone tanning according to the proposed method are characterized by softness, plasticity and hydrothermal stability of the leather. By adjusting the final pH of the bath, any degree of purge can be achieved. The leather temperature can be taken from 45 to S0.
The advantage of this method is that the treated skins are resistant to the effects of sweat when worn and at the same time acquire greater luster and elasticity of hair.
According to the proposed method, the final decontamination of formaldehyde necessary for complete disinfection can be applied without the risk of skinning of the leather.
In an acidic environment with a pH below 2.0 and a temperature of 30, effective disinfection of sibiologous skins is achieved by exposure to a semi-molar formaldehyde solution for 24 hours.
Процесс может быть ускорен повышением концентрации формальдегида или темцературы ванны, что можно достигнуть подогревом дезинфекционной жидкости, после того , как шкуры получат д-)статоЧный продуб и, следовательно, будут иметь гидротермическую устойчивость .The process can be accelerated by increasing the concentration of formaldehyde or bath temtserature, which can be achieved by heating the disinfection liquid after the skins get d-) static products and, therefore, will have hydrothermal stability.
In the case of disinfection of fatty, heavily soiled hair, skins, in order to more completely disinfect them, special preparations can be used in the preparatory bath, which have a detergent and emulsifying fat effect in an acidic medium, such as saponin.
The good preservative properties of formaldehyde allow the disinfection of raw materials to be shipped to plants for further processing (frying, fattening, drying and finishing) in the wet.
