Description

(54) INSTALLATION FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF FIBER FROM MINERAL MELT

The melt comes from the cupola 9 through the Koshnik 8 into the grooved bath 1, on the bottom of which the dies 3 of the feeder 2 are placed. The ultrasonic vibration carried out by the vibrators 5 and 6 prevents the melt from sticking in the bath and in the dies zone. Due to this, the melt is freely entrained in the spinneretts by ejection created by the energy carrier on the opposite side of the feeder. The ultrasound capillary effect that occurs in the spinnerets that serve as a capillary system that is subject to ultrasonic action also contributes to the advancement of the melt through the spinnerets. The melt streams leaving the feeder are inflated into fibers by the energy carrier.

The installation will allow a progressive spun-and-blown method of blowing up the massacre at mineral wool plants and increase the fiber yield ratio to 0.92–0.95 instead of 0.65–0.70 using the currently used centrifugal-blown method, which will give significant savings in raw materials.
