This invention relates to the metallurgy of high-quality steels, pure metals and alloys, as well as to the welding of metals using fluxes.
At present, both in domestic and in foreign practice, a wide spreading is finding a new method of treating steels, pure metals and alloys, which are used to manufacture parts of especially responsible purposes, the method of electroslag remelting of metals (ESR). Fluoride and fluoride-oxide fluxes 1 are used as the slag phase in this method. Fluxes that are similar in composition to the ESR fluxes are widely used for electroslag and electric arc smelting of metals.
В результате содержание воды в них может достигать 0,2-0,5 вес.%.However, the used fluxes, obtained mainly by fusing charge materials in electric furnaces with subsequent granulation 2, during storage and transportation, intensively absorb moisture from the air and are hydrated. As a result, the water content in them can reach 0.2-0.5 wt.%.
When such fluxes melt under the conditions of melting of ESR or electric welding, the water absorbed by solid fluxes goes to a large extent into fluxed raivil, and then in the form of hydrogen (due to its interfacial distribution) it is non-refractory and liquid metal. Navo.a, the exclusion of metal due to moisture introduced by the initial fluxes is the cause of the formation of hydrogen cracks (flocs) and gas holes in large ESR ingots (or in ready-made large-size products produced by the ESR method). In the liinax welded, the new hydrogen content is also accompanied by the formation of cracks and other materials, which dramatically reduces the strength of the weld sites.
3.To eliminate the indicated consequences, in practice the preliminary degassing of fluxes is used. Usually practicing for this purpose calcining ground fluxes in air complicates the process considerably and is not sufficiently effective: it does not provide the water content in the fluxes below 0.007-0.009% by weight, which is required to prevent the transition of hydrogen to hetall in ESR 3.
Пель изобретени - разработка способа получени влагостойких флюсов (по,тностью инертных к влаге воздуха).Pel of the invention is the development of a method for obtaining moisture-resistant fluxes (because they are inert to air moisture).
It has been found out by research that the stored fluxes (of the type FLNP-b AP-291, ANF-1, APF-27) in the air of hydration iodvergast containing only
