Description

This invention relates to the manufacture of | catalysts for the decomposition of alkyl aromatic hydroperoxides. It is known to use as a catalyst OLA for the decomposition of alkylaromatic hexoperoxides of various codlot mineral substances, for example sulfuric, phosphoric, hydrochloric, chloric; organic acids, such as formic, trichloromethane sulfonic, sulfanilic; Lewis acids, for example boron fluoride, aluminum chloride; natural acid clay, ion-exchange resins of zeolites. The closest to the present invention is the use as a catalyst for the decomposition of alkylaromatic hydroperiods of this orthophosphoric acid. However, this catalyst is characterized by the formation of by-products, which impede the release of target products from the reaction mass, while the yield of phenol is 92%. In order to increase the yield of phenols and carbonyl compounds and improve the quality of the target products, it has been proposed to use ultra-sulf (1) phosphoric acids of the formula 0о 1 as a catalyst. - p-o-G 0-P-OH 1II . Ultrasulfophosphoric acids are used in the manufacture of fertilizers, surfactants, pharmaceuticals. Ulngrasulfophosphoric acids are obtained by thermal decomposition and evaporation of mixtures of sulfuric and phosphoric acids, the interaction of polyphosphoric acids with sulfuric anhydride or other methods. The catalyst is introduced into a reactor designed to decompose alkyl aromatic hydroperoxides, in pure form or dissolved in an organic solvent, such as acetone. It is advisable to use Ultrasulfophosphoric acids previously deposited on activated carbon, silica gel and other inert carriers.
