Description
The present invention relates to a radiotelephone transmitter device which, in order to increase efficiency, is achieved in the absence of modulation and does not have a tone in the circuit.
The latter is accomplished by shunting the modulation inductance of a capacitor connected between the anode coils of self-induction of a push-pull generator.
The drawing shows a schematic diagram of the proposed transmitter.
The high frequency from the master oscillator, boosted to the appropriate voltage, is supplied to parallel-connected grids of two lamps, operating in Mode A, whose anodes are connected to opposite ends of the circuit. Obviously, if the lamps have the same characteristics and the anodic voltage is the same in terms of delining, then in the circuit e. d. self-induction cannot arise, since the excitation applied to it is the same in magnitude and in sign, and therefore compensation of induced e will occur. d. Fluctuations in the circuit will not occur. It is easy to imagine that if the current of one of the lamps is less, then e. d. on the capacitor plates will be different in size. A certain differential capacitive current will flow through the self-induction of the circuit, i.e. electric oscillations with the excitation frequency (master oscillator) will occur. These oscillations will be sucked off by the high frequency amplifier circuit and amplified to the voltage required to drive the transmitting units. If the anode current of one of the modulator lamps is modulated in accordance with the frequency to be transmitted, the amplitude of the generated electrical oscillations will bend around the shape of the modulating frequency. When there is no modulation, the anode voltage of the modulator lamp becomes equal to the voltage at the anode of the neutralizing lamp, and the oscillations disappear.
As described above, one of the modulator lamps is modulated by the sound frequency to be transmitted. Anodic modulation should be applied, as giving the smallest distortion. These lamps are fed from a common anode power source. Resistance is used to equalize the anode voltage of this neutralizing lamp with a modulator lamp, the voltage on which will be somewhat less due to a drop in voltage.
