Прибор (фиг. 1) принципиально состоит из удлиненного корпуса, к которому шарнирно прикреплены верхние концы двух лап 1 - 1, имеющих внизу крючкообразные загибы дл  захватывани  за зацепку 10 перед опусканием прибора в скважину. Под дейстВием пружины 2 лапы нижними своими концами , после осзобождени  от зацепки, расход тс  в стороны и упираютс  в стенки буровой скважины. Лапы св заны одна с неподвижным но.-тактом 4, а втора  с подвижным контактом 5 потенциометра 3. Потенциометр представл ет собою пр мую констант ановую проволочку, смонтированную на эбонитовом каркасе, и соединен проводами 6 и 7 с самозаписывающим регистрационным аппаратом на поверхности.
