METHOD FOR OBTAINING STEROID PAPOGENIN STEROGENIN

226- ,benzene. After cooling, the benzene layer is traced off, and the aqueous portion is extracted with benzene. The combined benzene extracts are washed with water, sodium bicarbonate solution and water until neutral, dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered and the solvent is distilled off. The resulting residue is dissolved in 100 ml of benzene and chromatographed on a column of 900 g of silica gel. The elution was carried out with a mixture of benzene or petroleum ether with chloroform (8: 2), selecting fractions of 200-250 ml each. The fractions containing foam, concentrated, evaporated under reduced pressure and a temperature of 40-50 ° C, crystallized from benzene and get 3 g of pure foam (0,63% based on air-dry root) with so pl. 226-,
