Description

The signal as a sequence of opposite-polarized rectangular pulses is fed to the synchronous detector 4 and, after averaging with the help of an integrating chain 5, is detected by the device 6, which reacts to the average value of the output electric current. The switching of the synchronous detector is controlled by a signal arising in the sensor 7 of the switching voltage. The latter operates synchronously with the source 1 of the working signal. The desired frequency of the reference signal can be obtained, for example, by multiplying the frequency of the working signal by an integer number. In the case of a low frequency of the working signal, in order to obtain a fractional frequency ratio of the signals, the synchronization connection between source 1, sensor 7 and source 2 can be accomplished with known electromechanical devices.

The application of the proposed method will allow at least two times to reduce the error caused by the nonlinearity of the calibration characteristics. The effect of fluctuations in the frequency and temperature of the environment is also sharply reduced (at the beginning of the measurement range, these errors are practically zero).
