Description
As is known from experiments, in the electric gas-light sources of light, in the case of the use of hollow cathodes, the luminescence is observed not only of the main gas, but also of impurities. Experiments also show that, to the gleam of gases, the luminescence of the metal from which the catdb is made is added, and, depending on the metal used (pure or alloy), the intensity of the spectral lines of the main gas is different. In the case of some metals, such as molybdenum, it is especially large. The admixture of alkaline and alkaline-earth elements to the cathode material and then in some lamps and the anode material is also very important for the spectral composition of the gas.
By combining gases and metals it is possible to obtain different colors of luminescence with a maximum of radiation in any part of the spectrum, i.e. corresponding to some, for example, one wavelength.
The present invention relates to a gas-light lamp having the above-mentioned property, and consists in a constructive form of its cathode having a relatively large active surface. By themselves, this type of cathode itself is generally known

ранее, но в данном случае катод выполн етс из р да близко расположенных друр к другу металлических дисков .previously, but in this case, the cathode is made of a series of closely spaced metal disks to a friend.
An exemplary design of a lamp for intense burning of any color, including white, in accordance with the invention, is shown schematically in the drawing.
Разр д, возникает, главным образом, в узких отверсти х, между дисками 2, которые могут бь1ть заменены р дом коаксиальных трубок образу большую поверхностную ркость .The cathode of the pampa consists of a series of disks 2 ;. separated from each other by insulating plates 3, of much smaller diameter. The discs 2 are thus assembled as a magnet. G is made in the form of a ring or another body shape. The cathode, of course, can be realized not only in the form of a cylinder ,. as in the drawing, but also in the form of a sphere, the anode can be mounted away from the sphere. The discharge occurs mainly in narrow holes between the disks 2, which can be replaced by a series of coaxial tubes to form a large surface brightness.
Such a pampa is very convenient for floodlights, for measuring, lighting and photographing purposes. Such a lamp can also be modulated and used in signal technology for different parts of the spectrum.
