Description
В некоf The present invention relates to improvements in explosives. Although gelatin dynamite is a strong explosive, it nevertheless has the disadvantage that it freezes at a temperature several degrees above zero (in Celsius). Therefore, usually such frozen dynamite is heated before use, which, even with great precautions, often leads to unhappiness. They tried to lower the freezing temperature of such dynamite with the help of some impurities, but the results, according to the inventor, were unsatisfactory. In countries with a severe winter, and especially in explosions in open boreholes or in the blasting of rocks, for a long time they have tried to look for a dynamite surrogate that freezes, however, at a lower temperature. This is all the more desirable since the manufacture of dynamite is now becoming more expensive due to the increase in the cost of glycerin. The present invention relates to an explosive that satisfies the aforementioned requirements. Possessing is the same with dynamite by force, it is much cheaper than it and, moreover, has the valuable quality that it freezes only at a temperature of the lowest 200 ° C. The main components of this explosive are liquid mono, di, or trinitro derivatives of xylene or cumene gelatinized with nitrocellulose, or liquid di or trinitro derivative of benzene or a mixture of two or more of these liquid nitro compounds of any of the three specified degrees of nitration. Distillation residues resulting from the crystallization of the above nitro derivatives from alcohol and other solvents (such as: liquid dinitroxylene, liquid triiitroxylene, liquid dinitrobenzene, liquid trinitrobenzene, etc.) contain mostly a mixture of different diomethyl and trinitro compound. These nitro compounds, like nitroglycerin, have the property of dissolving nitrocellulose and forming gelatin with it, which, however, in contrast to nitroglycerin gelatin, freezes with great difficulty. In some

торых случа х можно прибавл ть свыше 25% нитроглицерина по весу нитрованного углеводорода, не повыша существенно температуру замерзани .In some cases, it is possible to add more than 25% nitroglycerin by weight of nitrated hydrocarbon, without significantly increasing the freezing point.
The resulting gelatin is then mixed in the usual manner with corresponding oxygen-rich substances like chlorates, perchlorates or nitrates.
