Description
A known method of making an asbestos diaphragm by applying hriotiilasbest and amphibog to the base. g of Lasbest, and in particular Blue asbestos, using a polymeric binder-polyanilide. However, the diaphragm obtained has immobile electrostatic characteristics. In addition, this method eliminates the possibility of using other, more expensive types of amphibole-bacteriums, in particular, AND anthophil-Itbest. The aim of the invention is to improve the electrochemical characteristics. The goal is achieved by pre-mixing the polymer binder solution with chrysotilasbest or amphibolasbest. In addition, anthophyllitasbest is used as amphibolase. Latex is preferably used as the polymeric binder. In this case, under more severe conditions than in the known method (higher current densities), the alkali current output increases and the chlorine gas composition improves. The effectiveness of the proposed method is visible from the comparative data given in the table.
