Description
The method of atomic-hydrogen welding consists in the fact that an arc of alternating current burns in a hydrogen atmosphere between two tungsten electrodes arranged at an angle to each other.
Hydrogen molecule, falling into the high temperature region of the volt arc, decay of TC to atoms. Dissociated hydrogen is directed to the seam where the reverse process takes place: hydrogen atoms combine to form a molecule. The heat of recombination is transferred to the seam. Thus, welding occurs due to the heat of the arc transferred to the seam with hydrogen without access of air.
All existing types of burners provide a relatively wide heating zone at the seam, which adversely reflects on the microstructure of the metal and makes welding in solid angles impossible.
The authors have developed a new method for distributing and supplying hydrogen, which provides central heat transfer from the arc to the seam and thus eliminates the above disadvantages.
This method constructively reduces to the following.
As can be seen from the drawing, the code Bbixadite consists of nozzles from three jets, of which two are jets of protective hydrogen and one active. Protective hydrogen comes from
Holes 1 and 2 are eccentric with respect to the electrode, do not cross the arc and are not involved in the transfer of heat of the arc.
Active hydrogen comes from aperture 3 in a long hard stream (the pressure in front of its aperture is greater than that of protective hydrogen) and crosses an arc in its path.
Таким образом, перенос тепла дуги осуществл етс только средней струей, а так как она достаточно узка, тозона нагрева у шва (как показали опыты применени этой горелки) значительло уменьшаетс .Thus, the heat transfer of the arc is carried out only by an average jet, and since it is quite narrow, the heating tosoon at the seam (as shown by experiments using this torch) is significantly reduced.
The nozzles, as can be seen from the drawing, are designed in such a way that they can be set with the help of adjusting screws to any ratio between the quantities, rates of protective and active hydrogen.
Благодар эбонитовому маховичку рука сварщика находитс вне напр жени .The burner itself is made of ebonite mz with a connector in the middle. The supply of one electrode to another is carried out with the help of a rail and gears. The rail is mounted directly on the conductive tube that carries hydrogen. Thanks to the ebonite handwheel, the welder’s hand is out of tension.
This method of fastening significantly reduces the cross-section of the holder.
The tightness of the joint (rubber hose-steel tube) is ensured by pressing, by fitting the upper copper tube.
This method of fastening the rail, connecting the hoses and using ebonite as the base material reduces the weight of the burner by almost three times against conventional structures.
The subject matter of the invention.
Способ атомно-водородной сварки с раздельнЬй подачей защитного ;и активного (диссоциирующегос ) водорода, отличающийс тем, что струю активного водорода направл ют так, чтобы она пересекала дугу, тогда как защитный водород дуги не пересекает, причем скорость струй водордда А|ожет регулироватьс .Atomic-hydrogen welding with separate supply of protective and active (dissociating) hydrogen, characterized in that the jet of active hydrogen is directed so that it crosses the arc, while the protective hydrogen of the arc does not intersect, and the speed of the jet of water can be adjusted.
