Part 1 A optical quantum generator (AGR) with a selection of oscillation types is known, which, in order to separate one mode, a transparent plate is placed into the resonator between one of the mirrors and the active substance, one side of which can be clarified, and the other has a thin absorbing film, the thickness of which is much less than the working wavelength of the laser. Such a film, if it is located in the site of the standing wave of one of the longitudinal modes of the resonator, reliably ensures the selection of this mode from 10–15, which can be excited in the system. At the same time, the gshenka introduces very small losses in the implemented mode. However, the construction using an absorbing film is not used in a high-power laser. With a small shear of the film from the node, it falls into the region of a noticeable electric field and a noticeable part of the energy of the light wave begins to be absorbed in it. Following this, the film heats up and, at power levels of the order of 1 kW, can fail due to overheating. The purpose of the Invention is to increase the generator power in the single-mode mode. For this, the selection side of the transparent plate is made in the form of a thin scattering radiation layer. 2 A scheme of the laser with the proposed mode selection system is shown in the drawing. The generator contains mirrors 1 and 2, which form the resonator, the active medium 3 and the selection plate 4, the surface 5 of which is covered with a scattering layer, and the surface 6 is coated. If the scattering surface coincides with the nodal surface of the standing wave, the field on it is not emitted by it. In this case, minimal losses are introduced into the resonator. If this surface is placed in the antinode of the electric field, it strongly scatters light, introducing the greatest attenuation into the resonator. The nodal surfaces of different modes are shifted relative to each other along the axis of the resonator; therefore, only that mode whose node coincides with the film surface has the maximum quality factor, while the other modes have significant attenuation. With the right choice of the ratio of the scattered power to the gain, as well as the distance from the scattering surface to the mirror, only one mode is generated in the laser. The selected mode can be selected by moving the plate 4 along the axis slightly, for example, using piezo-ceramics.
