Abstract

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: made on the surface of structure or plate made of same material is straight reference notch. Installed on the opposite surface are two similar control explosive charges in form of truncated pyramid. Pyramid base is square. Length of side of small base equals the thickness of structure to be cut. Length of side of large base exceeds this thickness by a factor of three. Control charges are located so that a similar charge may be placed between them. In this case, control charges should be symmetrical relative to plane square to structure surface and passing through notch. Then, control charges are simultaneously blasted and area of their cross-section is determined in zone of cut beginning. Working charges are of same explosives as in case of control charges and with square cross-section. Area of square is equal to obtained area of cross-section of control charge in zone of cut beginning. Two similar working charges are placed on structure surface opposite to the surface with notch. Distance between working charges is determined from the offered relation. Working charges should be symmetrical relative to the plane square to the surface of structure to be cut and passing through notch. Working charges are initiated simultaneously.
