Description
The invention relates to agriculture and veterinary medicine, in particular to objects for the care of animals and means of treating diseases of the extremities.
The purpose of the invention is to simplify the design and increase the effectiveness of the treatment of hoof disease by improving the conditions for the rehabilitation of a diseased finger.
The drawing schematically shows an orthopedic horseshoe for artiodactyl 10 animals, mainly cattle, general view.
The orthopedic horseshoe for artiodactyl animals of mainly cattle contains a sole 1, 15 made in the form of an elastic platform for the supporting surface of one of the hooves. On the sole 1, two through holes are made for fastening the front 2 and rear 3 belts, which have loops for the lower girdle belt 4 at their free ends. The front belt has axial 5 and 6 axial branches, which are fixed at their front through hole 7 soles. 25 The rear belt is fixed in the rear through hole 8 and has an axial 9 and an abaxial 10 branch. The lower girdle is threaded into the loops of the free ends of the described belts. The upper 30 girdle belt 11 is connected to the lower intermediate belt 12 on the polar (plantar) surface of the horseshoe.
35Orthopedic horseshoe is used as follows. 35
The engagement wall of the unaffected hoof is inserted between the branches of the front belt 2. The axial branch 9 of the rear belt is located in the interdigital gap, and the abaxial branch 10 is located at level 40 of the corolla and the lower girdle is fixed. The upper girdle is fixed at the level of the middle phalanx. When tightening it, the horseshoe is sufficiently firmly fixed to the 45th sole of the hoof. To apply the horseshoe to the other (opposite) finger, it is necessary to transfer the axial (5 and 9) and abaxial (b and 10) branches of the front and rear belts to the opposite side of the horseshoe. Then it is necessary to turn the lower and upper girdle belts without removing them from the loop of the front, rear and intermediate belts.
The proposed design is quite simple, the speed of the horseshoe fixation is 20-30 s to the hoof, which does not require special efforts and increases labor productivity.
In addition, the design is quite light, so the animal is not disturbing, the fixing elements of the horseshoe ensure its reliable fixation to the animal’s limbs for a long time. The design freely provides the possibility of imposing it on both the medial and lateral fingers, which is carried out by transferring within 3-6 from the free ends of the front and rear belts to the opposite side of the horseshoe, the Horseshoe can replace the corrective clearing of the hoof. When replacing the bandage from the affected hoof, you do not have to remove the horseshoe. The horseshoe of the proposed design in the absence of niches and pockets eliminates the possibility of accumulation of dirt.
