Abstract

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION: A gas containing mercury vapor is passed through clinoptilolite,

Description

This invention relates to the purification of gases from mercury and can be used in the chemical, metallurgical and other industries.

The aim of the invention is to increase the degree of purification of gases from mercury.

П р и м е р 1. 99%.EXAMPLE 1 A gas mixture consisting of air, pre-saturated with mercury vapor to a concentration of 2 mg / m, is passed at a rate of 1 l / min through a 10 mm glass column into which 1 g of clinoptilolite ground to a fraction of -0.5 0.1 mm. At the column outlet, the mixture is analyzed for mercury content by atomic fluorescence. The mercury purification rate is 99%.

The capacity of clinoptilolite until mercury breakthrough is 200 mg / g of clinoptilolite.

Under similar conditions, the prototype sorbent capacity is 40 mg / g sorbent.

П р и м е р 2. 99,9%.EXAMPLE 2 Similar to Example 1, except that the mercury concentration in the mixture is 20 mg / m3 and the flow rate of the mixture is 0.5 l / min. The mercury purification rate is 99.9%.

The capacity of clinoptilolite before the breakthrough of mercury is 240 mg Hg / r of clinoptilolite, while the capacity of the sorbent of the prototype is 60 mg / g of sorbent.
