Description
The invention relates to medical technology, in particular to devices for irradiating tissues in hard-to-reach cavities of the human body, for example, by means of a laser.
Devices used for irradiating fabrics that have a directed, luminous flux of laser energy are known, while the divergence of radiation is determined by the / - output fiber aperture in most cases not exceeding 0.25 rad.
Наконечники могут иметь различную форму: полусфера, цилиндр , конус Форма позвол ет лишь измен ть расходимость излучени в небольших пределах (обычно не более 90°).Devices are also known that allow the divergence of radiation at the output to be altered using special tips, made, in particular, of sapphire. The use of these tips is due to the need to protect the output end of the fiber from burning and to achieve targeted irradiation of pathological objects. The tips can have a different shape: hemisphere, cylinder, cone. The form only allows the divergence of the radiation to vary within small limits (usually not more than 90 °).
Closest to the invention is a probe that contains silica fiber and an artificial sapphire diffuser. The laser rod has a site for emitting the incident laser beam from the end of the element so that this beam does not reach the conical surface. The probe allows irradiating the tissue in contact with it, as well as carrying out therapeutic procedures.
The aim of the invention is to improve ease of operation.
The drawing shows the distal part of the probe, a slit.
The device comprises a quartz light guide 1 fixed in the housing 2 and extending inside the catheter tube 3 protecting it from damage. The tip 4 of the probe has the shape of a cylinder with a hemispherical head and is made of fluoroplastic.
To reduce the loss of laser radiation, the output end of the light guide is extended to the body of the metal sleeve by 2-3 mm.
The device works as follows.
340°.The radiation is supplied to the light guide by means of a quotation device from the radiator, which is a gas laser. With an output aperture of 13–15 °, the scattering plane provides the indicatrix of the diffuser within 340 °.
